alt="Arrow" /&gt; An Airbus A380 flew into Hong Kong on a
route-proving test jointly operated by Airbus and Lufthansa of
Germany.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;img title="Arrow" src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_arrow.gif"
alt="Arrow" /&gt; Qantas Airways announced the acquisition of 9 new
Airbus A320s for its budget arm Jetstar, in a bid to counter-attack
the imminent launch of Tiger Airways Australia at the end of the
year. Qantas will also transfer for Boeing 767-300s for domestic
operations.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; AirAsia X is expected to ink a deal with Airbus for
15 Airbus A330-300 aircrafts. In the latest development, the
long-haul arm of AirAsia, apparently have secured leasing
agreements for a number of aircrafts, and is due to be launched
this October. AirAsia X announced some time ago that due to
difficulties in leasing, the launch will be delayed till at least
to 2008.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; British Airways have delayed a massive order for 100
new widebodies until after Airbus unveils in detail its proposal
for the Airbus A350XWB. It has also confirmed the purchase of four
new Boeing 777-200ER aircrafts.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; Boeing announces that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will
be revealed on the 8th of July, with the first flight taking place
a month later.&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; Air Indian will be the new name for India's national
carrier, a merger between Air India and Indian Airlines.&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; Etihad Airways announced plans to acquire Airbus
A320s or Boeing 737s for its short-haul network.&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; Garuda Indonesia announced its intention to buy up
to 25 Boeing 737-800 aircrafts.&lt;br /&gt;

alt="Arrow" /&gt; American Airlines hinted that it may acquire Boeing
