In a way, I agree with Yamizi.

I mean, if we are unhappy or dissagree with other fellow
Buddhists's way of life, character, or practice, which I think the
TS was trying to implied, then maybe we should improve on ourselves
first. No need to put others down for not following the way which
we think is "correct". We are all learning in stages. If we can see
others faults ( which are just what we thought ), then we learn not
to repeat such actions. No need to creat a fuss or even "unrest".
Always start from correcting ourselves, before we can help others
to correct.

Tsk. Tdy I talk too much... no good. Zip.

I am definitely okay with people challenge the buddhist faith
and its doctrines but I really think that the title of this thread
is rather insulting.

I think there is a difference in genuinely curious and outright
humiliative and if the person has doubt in something, he/she
shouldn't have start a thread with such a heading. It shows that
he/she lack of patient and tolerance him/herself.

Originally posted by wilsonhao:

Now look whos stupid in the first place..
Its so foolish to critsize someone when you dunno how much
knowledge and wisdom he has.

TS' intention is not malicious. He is also not a troll. He is a
Buddhist and I think his intent is to show to fellow Buddhists that
we do not practice what we learn in Buddhism. Here's a quote from
the TS clarifying his intent, found in page 2 of this thread.

Lord buhdda is nothing but a normal person, his deeds and
achievement are nothing measurable,

Lord buhdda is empty and originate from a human form, his
achievements are nothing measurable because it is infinite, far too
great to be measured and experience cannot be gauge, true?

Well, Lord buhdda is toopid and foolist, the right words for lord
buhdda is stupid and foolish, its what the content that matter, i
will give u a nicely covered book with hilarious content.

I said about his followers, yea?

Apparently, i am half impressed by some who here who indeed speaks
of great wisdom whereas some who jsut preach the teaching of
buhdda. I am personally in awe of the teaching of buhdda but in my
recent stay here. I am very curious, i seen few religion threads,
islam to christian, many are jsut an opposite of what their
religion preaches.

I have a relative who practise buhdda teaching, meditate, go to
temple, talk to his master, But i am pratically in shock that he is
just someone who didnt have the right temper and attitude, wish you
all can see what i am trying to say.

A chinese saying, real gold will withstand the heat. How much faith
do you have in buhdda. Why is there such a strong reaction? Did the
teaching buhdda indicate so? i beg to differ, why not go to read up
some of the article An Enternal Now have put up.

I have found the answer i seek, to pick up buhddism for the sake of
magic or pick up buhddism for sake of cultivating and alternatives.
I been to quite afew forums and most are aggressive,
Buhddism:wisdom bliss is a forum so far the friendliest of my walks
of life, so i have decided to put a test to it.

Is those who practise buhdda teaching really practising buhddas
teaching or are they in the pretext of it, initially, i have no
faith in much religion except buhdda because his teaching speak the
most sense but my question arrive to the point of his followers.
How much impact can it have on the devotee.

My conclusion have finally urge me to pick buhddism as a religion
even though its teaching do not have much influence on all but i
can see it on some, which is a good thing.

where you wrote your favourite books are 'GrandMaster's Books!!!'
(Grand Master is the title they coined for their master Lu-Sheng
yen) and within the picture of the sangha looked like True Buddha
School (costumes look a little similar). And then I clicked on the
link 'GrandMaster's Books!!!' and it linked me to another person's
friendster profile, and for that person it is clearly stated she is
from True Buddha School.

When I check her photos, it seems that their costume are exactly
the same: <a href=

I don't recall Mahayana wearing this sort of costumes for lay
persons. Furthermore, the picture in your profile shows a mixture
of Vajrayana and Mahayana costume, not coming from a single school,
a characteristic of True Buddha School.

But I might very well have made a mistake.

What sangha/organisation are you from btw?

Hi AEN , I think Vegitto is right ,in singapore there is a
buddhist discussion group based on taiwanese dharma master and the
medium of teaching is in chinese

anyway vegitto mention Lama Je Tsongkhapa Lam Rim Chenmo and
Ven Kai zhao which is quite orthodox .

I think its not that nice to impose if he isnt fm True Buddha
School

Certain robes in taiwanese tradition also mixed

True Buddha School wouldnt really want to come here due to their
allegiance to Padmakara teachings

In fact , I think there is a rise of such discussion-based temple
group in singapore

As long as they follow the 4 reliance by Buddha Sakyamuni , there
isnt any unorthodox activities they engaging

i would have wanted to suggest to TS that he may start by learning
the precepts, 4 noble truths and eightfold path, etc. before going
to mahayana texts.

wat i've noticed is that a lot of ppl are quite lost when 1st
contact with buddhism, and straight away they will go into zen,
vajrayana etc. whereas the precepts, 4 noble truths and eightfold
path is a very good foundation of which many ppl neglected.

been here coz there's a lot of ppl here who knows a lot more than
me, and i benefitted from reading wat they have shared in the
threads.

true buddha school, they've got branch in sg? aren't they located
at taiwan and US.

I see... very sorry if I have made a mistake. Yes, they do have
a branch here.

Cos I was surfing friendster and found your contact
'jupiterseow@hotmail.com' http://profiles.friendster.com/user.php?uid=2230526,
where you wrote your favourite books are 'GrandMaster's Books!!!'

When I check her photos, it seems that their costume are exactly
the same: http://www.friendster.com/photos/8987159/0/132664549#pic=1691236207
. Your profile: http://photos-526.friendster.com/e1/photos/62/50/2230526/36471032245637l.jpg.
I don't recall Mahayana wearing this sort of costumes for lay
persons. Furthermore, the picture in your profile shows a mixture
of Vajrayana and Mahayana costume, not coming from a single school,
a characteristic of True Buddha School.

But I might very well have made a mistake.

What sangha/organisation are you from btw?

because you can't understand something doesn't mean that it isn't
true.

Just because you are blind doesn't mean that the microscope doesn't
apply to everyone in order to find out about the microorganism --
but it is just too unfortunate you are blind and cannot look into
Similarly, if one is blind to the truths it doesn't mean the dharma
doesn't apply to him, it just means he is blind and cannot look
into his mind.

Stop! Generalization is percieved on your posting. How can you
be sure that Dharma can be applied to everyone and anyone? Next,
your analogy on being blind is being unable to use a microscope is
politically incorrect and technologically inaccurate.

teachings and follow, not blindly, but becos it is my natural
reaction. if you follow your heart and it goes in line with the
teachings, then even if you are not a buddhist, it really doesnt
matter.

Who receive the karma?

Animals see humans as cruelty and humans see animals as beastly and
cruel.

So how is karma going to judge?

some people who felt the effects of karma in the present, do not
mean they did bad before in this life, they may have done wrong in
previous lives( if you believe), and karma only catch up with them
this life. what you see now is the effect of what you did. and what
you do will indirectly cause effect in your future. it may not
happen in this life too.

whatever you do, you will have confidence that you will not suffer
bad if you do nothing bad to yourself and others. its like saving
money in the future. if you do come across unhappiness, tell
yourself that you are just getting rid of the bad karma you may had
accumulate in the past unknowingly. after overcoming, it will be
good.
thats what i understand and believe in. Please correct me of i am
