    • from Master Chin Kung:

Jitkiat's post is on events which took place during late Qing Dynasty, so it necessarily has to be narrated in Chinese until it gets translated.

May be we should enlist the help of volunteers to translate all Chinese posts in BWB.

    • Even this story is translated, one still must know who is 岳飞 and what happened during the Song dynasty in order to appreciate the story. It is better to just print out and then ask someone who knows about 岳飞 and Buddhism to explain in English ...

    •   Yue fei was a patriot whom fought bravely for his country and also he is the first i think  to have his mum tattoo onto his back the chinese words of cos " JING ZHONG BAO GUO " . Just to remind her son to be a patriot to his own country . But sadly one court officials whom i forgot his name was jealouse of him and schemed to get rid of him . Alas Yue Fei was framed by a plot hatched by this evil court official together with his wife and was put to death . Later pple carved the statues of the evil court officials and his wife and put them at a corner of the street to be spit at for causing the death of Yue Fei . However in the recent years due to hygiene reasons , they forbid the habit of spitting on the 2 statues . Hope i did not make any mistake in telling you this .

Erm abt such things , actually i don't really see why as long as the ghost of the deceased are still there , it mean they are in the er gui dao but rather maybe they still have things to be done in their heart or maybe they are helping to shape the future . I personally have a friend whom committed suicide . But days later i made a dream where he came to my house to take back all his " belongings " . In the dream i was fully aware he was already dead and i even opened my house door for him to come in to get his stuff cos he stayed in my house for 1 month before and really still has his stuff with me . And after collecting all his stuff , he never came to my dream anymore . And of cos i wish the best for him . And also maybe you may have forgottten the story of how guan yu sweared to be a dharma protector for 100 years after he was granted a place to stay in a temple . I don't see why pple like to assume immediate that once a person passed away long time ago and is still a ghost must mean he is in er gui dao . If he really is in er gui dao then are you saying that er gui dao ghost are free to go anywhere they like ? And can even host banquets and even fight war ? I don't know which master said that but a story can be explained in many different ways according to different pple . If the person heart only has er gui dao then of cos everything they see in their dreams will belong to er gui dao . Perhaps they themself may even go there after death . The same way as how JI can be formed from islam . We tend to see things the way we expect or want to but have we forgotten there may be other meanings or perspective that we may have forgotten to consider it ?

A person doing charity may be seem as a person having a golden heart trying to help others life become better , but in the eyes of a proud and arrogant person , he may think that this person is trying to show off his wealth or maybe even have ulterior motives for helping them . Which view is true ? That depends on how you judge or look at pple .

    • The name of the bad guy is 秦桧。

I heard that until recently, iron statutes of 秦桧 and his wife was open to visiting public to be cursed, spat and urinated upon.

秦桧 and his wife's deed is deplorable and for which I belief they have suffered (or is still suffering) the karmic consequence. However, what strikes me as equally scary is the hatred of the people towards him.
