Something I wonder about the corporate world, do the guys always wear a blazer? or only during meeting clients/meetings/etc?
You look more formal during meeting. By being formal, it shows that you respect the other party. But Singapore is so hot and humid. Even wearing a tie feel uncomfortable.

for me, anything goes from mon-thu as long as it's collared. mainly seen in khaki pants and short sleeves shirt for comfort. when overseas, i don the blazer and tie thingy for customer meetings when required.
friday is really casual. jeans and tees are also acceptable. i once wear a croc sandal to work on a friday. they match well with my `motel 8' t-shirt. my americano colleague told me that's crossing the line....we were pushing the envelope to see who can get more casual....
