    • Starting this outing for the 2 pilots Ferret and Fatum devil.png  If they are piloting this outing again I will spam them crab photos for a month tongue.png

      Date: (not fixed yet..)

      Time: Starts at 6.30pm - 7pm and will end when we feel like it

      Venue:  No Signboard Seafood

      2. Crab Pepper

      3. Crab Sambal

      4. Crab Chilli - nowadays these doesn't taste good anymore. maybe too much tomatoes sauce

      5. Baked Salted Crab

      6. Butter Crab

      7. Steam Crab

       

      how else can it be eaten?

      steamed with salted egg

      pickled (but that one is vinegar mangrove tree climbing crabs aka buar kee)

    • actually, I'm not that much a fan of those pepper and chili crab concoctions ....

      I like it as plain as possible ... boiled or steamed is good  ... that's how you can taste the sweetness of the flesh ....

      exactly..

      just steam.. and put a bit of soy, rice wine and some scallions into the water for steaming..

      and put some egg white into the plate which the crab is put into the steamer..

      wonderful..

    • Ok ok so how what kind of crabs you guys want? The crab bee hoon in butter cream soup or the normal chilli crab pepper crab etc

      I also like them baked just with the shell on

      The baking brings out the salt flavour out of the crab too

      that warmed my heart through out the canadian winters .....

      but now everyone's telling me that's over-rated now ....

      Ya it is over-rated and pricier compared to other places

      But the queue is scary still. I dun have an issue if you guys wanna eat there. There is something I wanna buy from the LFS there too LOL

      there's one along East Coast Road next to Siglap Centre selling crabs. tried their beehoon once and thought it was good.

      anyone know of good versions of the latter anyways ? ...

      and omg the chilli crab .

      i have a soft spot for crabs .

      soup version of course. that's where the gravy is...
