Watched blue velvet years ago but I remember fragments of
Dorothy running out into the park and screaming her head off. It
was a shocking and very bizarre scene.

i liked Blue Velvet...

it was strange and surreal..

"it's a ear"
"yes.. it's a ear"

and the ants were a good touch..

Dennis Hopper was weird as heck...

i enjoy the weirdass stuff by Lynch.. which is probably why
until this day, my favourite TV series remains Twin Peaks <img src=

I think he took his last self portrait outside an abandoned bus

Hopefully the adaptation lives up to the book. Why do they
always disappear into alaska anyway? What's so special about that
place? Aurora borealis?

Severance was hilarious right from the start. Take for instance
the opening sequence where the two whores were found running butt
nekkid around the forests, it's incredibly stupid when you discover
later how they ended up there in the first place.

Somehow these english horror films are always set in eastern
europe.

This is in wiki:

Audition had its share of audience walk-outs. When
shown at the 2000 Rotterdam Film Festival, one enraged
woman viewer confronted Miike by shouting at him: "You're evil!"
During uncensored members-only shows at the Irish Film Institute in
Dublin in 2001, some patrons collapsed in apparent shock. One
audience member was rushed to the St. James's Hospital but later
discharged himself.

to read up on Bear's recomendation of "Freaks" and it seems well,
damn FREAKY!!

That show was ranked 15th on some TV list of the 100
Scariest Movie Moments.

Gulp. Think i'll go for comedy shows recomended man.

Heh, horror factor 4 out of 10. No shivers down my spine. Few
gruesome scenes.

how about.. Audition...

<img src=

This is in wiki:

Audition had its share of audience walk-outs. When
shown at the 2000 Rotterdam Film Festival, one enraged
woman viewer confronted Miike by shouting at him: "You're evil!"
During uncensored members-only shows at the Irish Film Institute in
Dublin in 2001, some patrons collapsed in apparent shock. One
audience member was rushed to the St. James's Hospital but later
discharged himself.

Thanks for the reminder. R21 when it was released so I couldn't
catch it! Double horror fest tonight, need to make up my mind
whether Audition is high cinema mind trip or just romantic getaway
for a mental filmmaker. hehe...
