Just finished watching that movie on DVD .......
it's one of the rare movies that's touched me deeply ......
I remember drawing up a similar list, "100 things to do before I die" ....
but I think a bucket list has more sublime meanings ......
it's not just about what you want to have experienced before you die .....
but more of what would have made your journey on this plane more complete ......
So what would be on your bucket list ? .....

yes it was ...... I had intended to watch just 10 minutes of it after dinner, before getting back to work, but I ended up watching the whole movie ......
got me thinking about my life, what I've done so far, and what I've always wanted to do but have yet done ....
like that morgan freeman said .... "45 years just passed by in a flash" ...........

well, my "100 things to do before I die" list looks a bit more prosaic now .....
here are some of the things I've completed on my list ....
. pick up diving (10 years old hobby now)
. backpack and travel on my own (quite a few times now)
. stay on a house boat
. witness sunrise and sunset at sea (many times over)
. witness a sunrise on a mountain
. camp and trek in the tropical rainforest (no, not NS)
. camp and trek in a temperate wilderness
. ran a marathon (don't laugh, it was not in recent times !)
. graduate from university
. pick up fly-fishing (spent too much money on that already !)
some of the things I've yet to do on my list
. Visit New York (new york new york !)
. Visit Tokyo
. make my pile (not yet, but of course, that's a never ending struggle)
. teach (not as a career, but I want to inspire young minds, even if it's just for a while)
. hunt down dearling and marry her (should strike this one off I guess)
. be a father
. sip champagne on my own yatch
. cruise the length of the great barrier reef.
. sail across the pacific (after I die, scatter my ashes into the pacific)
Maybe it's time to add something more meaningful into the list ....
