    • Is this forum active? nvm...

question:if you have a mother cat at home, which has given birth, do try to fondle the mother cat first before trying to fondle the kittens?

And will the mother cat let you fondle the kittens because it knows you well?

    • Well, its better not to touch any of the cats be it the kittens or the mother cat especially as it will be very pissed if you do try it...the reason is simple, its protective of its kittens that's why & you can't blame them & why do you not touch the kittens, you'll leave a type of so-called "scent" on them which makes the mother cat won't recognise them & will therefore abondon them which I think you won't like it too right Rolling Eyes

Reminds me of hamsters... if you try to touch their young they'll bite off the heads!
