not entirely true...
the study is skewed in many ways... for one thing, the only basis of comparison is poor, handsome young men vs. rich, handsome young men...
... not much of a comparison is there? but what about rich, balding old men, rich, fat old men vs. rich handsome young men?
if a girl goes out of her way to date money, that means that the rich old men would stand the same, if not better chance than the rich, young man if the old man had more money... which is blatantly not true... women who goes for rich, old men, we call "mistresses" and "god-daughters", not girlfriends or wives.
ultimately, i think the only pple who want to take this study seriously are guys wallowing in self-pity... its pathetic. if a girl chooses a rich brat over a nice guy, i call that self-destructive behavior cos the rich brat has it going for him... he's not gonna commit to just one.
and u think women don't know that? those who subconsciously filters out such bad vibes are frankly deluding themselves and in for a sh|t-load of hurt. and women DON'T like hurt... that's why they CHOOSE.
and i do believe that this search for "stability" is a carry-on from pre-historic times, and in fact, encoded into our genes and instincts. u need to marry the best hunter, the best provider, the strongest protector. or u end up starving or getting eaten.
now, the measure of strength has changed. a muscular brute would not appeal the same way... but one with a thick wallet would. but its MORE than that. charm, sense of humour, a good heart; they DO matter.
realistically speaking, a woman will not wanna get involved with a bum with a sense of humour and a good heart. he doesn't provide.
but she would choose a wealthy, good-hearted guy over a wealthy playboy scum. and marriage into wealth ultimately depends on access... rich men don't advertise their single status and their wealth.
because there isn't "perfect knowledge" , middle-income, nice guys DO stand a chance
