$40 for yellow top crown? if not comfort, seems a bit high … comfort rental usually $45 with calls/diesel rebate… if the offer got no call and diesel rebate, $30 to $35 is fairer…
btw anyone know how much is the 12hr rental for relief to drive silver kia magentis? I saw one silver kia taxi at carpark. keen to ask him…

Hi kinwashi, prices varies due to 1/2 shift or booking of a full cab. My cabs are mainly Toyota crowns. From 3-6 years old. You can sms me if you require more details.

I think for this kind of price, SMRT better offer with on-call job, but if yellow top private owner, for kind of price this is not a good a deal. my opinion. Toyota Regular - Enjoy upfront saving on daily rental plus cash bonus every 6 months Daily rental from $76 $730 cash bonus per year

Currently my Hirer City Cab 3 years Toyota Crown from 5am to 5pm $45 no washing. And additional plenty on-call jobs. So just wondering is your from Comfort.

Hi Kinwashi, i think it’s a different ball game. You don’t enjoy so much freedom as a comfort/citycab driver. I believe as an experienced taxi driver, you should know all the pros and cons from different taxi companies. If low rental is what you are looking for, I can help you talk to the owner.

In the world this alway happen. for pros and cons in business this are common, did you notice just an example,those BBQ pork during Chinese New year did you actually see how much and what is the correct weight the vendor is giving you, look how many layers of papers and polytene sheets they are wrapping, does this paper and polytene sheet not counted as weight for you BBQ pork, just how many paper and polytene they are selling as BBQ pork and this they gain.
Comfort an Citycab dn’t enjoy so much freedom, for this i am not sure what about as an yellow cab driver, can you verify what are the different.

Cheap rental no for me, for another $10 to $20 dollars i will go for Sonata like my Gurus currently is driving.
For those old Toyota Crown or Nissan, three years or six years the condition is all the same from which companies is offering currently in the market.
Who is paying …the customer, who is driving we all, so price is not the main factor, comfortable smooth ride is more important. No more manual very hectic, just i said before that old man Trans Cab fight no way it the street with Auto. WE must alway equip with new equipment like what SQ is doing. MY OPINION.

Not trying to be wet blanket but this forum not many drivers
Plus i observe from comfort online search, there is a record number of hirers looking for relief now… meaning taxi business is not that fantastic now… that’s probably why your contacts also looking for reliefs… taxi business down likely due to exams and better mrt (although poolman will disagree)... maybe after May, you will find more reliefs coming forward…
but seriously, except the first timers, hard to get experienced drivers to drive yellow top crown for $40 lah… just do some simple calculation and u will be convinced too
