I think they check on the spot... if really found to have no license... not too sure... might be arrested on the spot? 1. Offender will be barred from driving in Singapore for good
2. Jail term for not more then 5 yrs of jail and not more then $15,000 in fines or both
3. Passenger who is in the car with a vaild driving license and willingly let a known subject without a driving license to drive the vechical, will have his/her license revoked and face a ban for not more then 3 years or a fine of not more then $15,000 or both.
4. Owner of the vechical will face a possible jail term and license suspension for not more than 5 years and a possible jail term and heavy fine.
5. All this will be considered as a criminal case in accordance with the Singapore Law.
