I always got the same problems whenever driving :
1) Turning too wide when on junction(turning right).
2) Can't keep straight to the lane
3) The car will always jerk when I change a higher gear to lower gear(clutch let go too fast).
4) Failed to use engine brake before reaching junction(red light)
5) Will always step on the clutch & the brake at the same time when turning.
Hiaz... really feeling very low morale le... somemore gana scolding from my instructor when I'm on circuit.[/b]
Thanks for your console & encouragment. Will try my best lah..Originally posted by pdriver:Dun need to be low morale lah.. the more you think of it the more nervous you will get. Try not to go so fast when turning lo, den you no need to step on the brake wad.. The first time when i was warming up for my tp, i did those silly mistakes that i did not do before and i was like so low morale and during tp i kept thinking of the mistakes i did during the warm up. Then, failed lor. But during second attempt i do everything "meimei" den when the time tp comes, i am very confident. Haha den passed lor.. Good luck to you.. luck is very important..![]()
All the best & good luck to youOriginally posted by Noeyessee:mine 4/4... 3.45pm... SSDC...2nd time...
hi Pixity83,Originally posted by Pixity83:Hey PAL!!
3.45PM IS THE BEST time to take ur TP.. cos if i not wrong the prac lessons for every other students have just ended... arnd tat time if not wrong!! and u will have the whole circuit to yourself!!! den out to road tat time really no cars outside and at the end of it.. i only got 6 pts... even the tester made me go another big round outside the test route just to give me another 2pts cos my pts too low!! i not sure the exact timing but its defienelty after 3pm!!!!
don worry la, i also pass on my 4th attempt... first 3 test i also do silly mistake like yrs.on my 3rd test i also release the cluth too fast then my instuctor like sit horse so funny.... tell yrself u can make it n have confident on yrself...Originally posted by Hong_meiyu79:Ya, thanks for your advise. But the problem is my TP is at 10.15am. Anyway I will do my best lah...
my sentiments exactly, once you have the clutch under control or able to handle the clutch confidently, everything will fall into place. step up on yr revisions up till the tp day itself. trust me, it really helps to boost yr morale! however, if you are taking at SSDC, watch out for a fat old tp with a mole somewhere on his face. if you kena him, then u will need lots of luck to help you through coz he sux!Originally posted by STS SPORE:Hi,
Dun Worries too much, u need to play with clutch often.... familiarise with ur clutch, the moment u can control ur clutch well... all ur problems will be rectify..

2) then use the centre lane line markings...im sure u be in a straight line.
3) u dump ur clutch to fast...in order to counter that...after u dump ur clutch...floor the accelerator. better feeling man...
4) then u fail to use...still got handbrake...or just dont brake..ur car will stop after it hit the car in front...
5) U must be born knowing how to do Heel & Toe technique. this is good...cornering at speed 70 and 80 wont be a problem for u i guess...keep it up bro...
if u follow my instructions...im sure u will see ur instructor again k....

Eh..Thanks for your advise but asked you ah, I tot turning don't have to step on the clutch? SHould let go of the clutch when turning, right?Originally posted by bo liao:I try to see if can help.
1.When they say turning radius wide is u never go in the correct lane after u turn.So if u go out from the filter right side, u must go into the most right side lane after u turn.
2.Tis u try tis way, u try to control car to go along the line on ur driver side, or side by side of the line.
3.Higher gear to lower gear rite? comferm hor,not other way round hor...it may be u are travelling at higher speed, u should slow down more den enguage to lower gear.If u are at higher speed, u enguage lower gear, sure jerk.try to slow down more den release the clutch slower.
4.This is easy, jus release accerator earlier for bout a while den step brake, remember, release accerator for mayb 3 sec den step brake.
5.How come will step brake & clutch together lea?Mayb u not enough confidence.U try step clutch only, cos i remember last tiem i learn, lik dun hv step both together when turning.
^..Gd Luck. Hope u pass this time round.Remember to post here to let ppl congratulate you ok.![]()

ya, must remember not to step on the clutch while doing any turnings. u will be 'free-wheeling' the vehicle n might be penalise. juz downgrade / upgrade ur gear than release ur clutch. dun hold on too long. esp for downgradin, the tester wan to see if u got use any engine brake, so steppin on the clutch forbid engine brake frm comin in.Originally posted by Hong_meiyu79:Eh..Thanks for your advise but asked you ah, I tot turning don't have to step on the clutch? When turning from traffic light, u move off in 1st gear mah..of cos dun need to stp clutch, but half way, u hv to change to 2nd gear mah...i say step clutch only cos in ur post u say u will step brake & clutch together when truning mah...unless u r refering to when stopping to prevent stall..the number 5 as below...Originally posted by Hong_meiyu79:Eh..Thanks for your advise but asked you ah, I tot turning don't have to step on the clutch?
