I feel dizzy too, as a rear passenger. Maybe it is sometime to do with the driver. He only start driving regularly recently.Originally posted by Larry:A bit tight, but not to the extent of getting dizzy while driving in one......
But cos most of the time the car only sits 2 people (me and my wife), its rather comfy.
Will have to check with my rear passengers, if I have any to come.Originally posted by wbucket:I feel dizzy too, as a rear passenger. Maybe it is sometime to do with the driver. He only start driving regularly recently.
My vote goes to Vios though. Til now, Vios's FC is always about 3-4km/L better than Getz. The fuel savings could easily offset the more expense up-front payment. Plus the boot is definitely bigger than Getz.
Wouldn't by any chance be this one? Black SwiftOriginally posted by seancannot:should consider the new Swift 1.5 .. saw a black one yesterday .. super chio!
FYI, Mitsubishi is having financial problems recently... and DaimlerChrysler had let go of the company... so despite it's japan made, it's not neccessary a safe choice.Originally posted by jonathan_n80:buy lancer. few k more than vios onli. dnt buy vios. thailand cars are realli lousy. forget abt it and go for a jap made lancer. u will regret when u get a thailand car. and e korean car u considering is a lousy fuel guzzler too.. forget abt that too.
definately agree.. jus look at e recent motor show in thailand. so many ppl complaing abt their thai built car . if anyone here does read e newspaper.Originally posted by Dracoblu:I dont know about the quality of Vios. What I do believe that there are some hypes about Toyota realiability these days especially the Thailand made Vios and Altis.
So far ... this is what I observe from my friend driving a Jap made Corolla, a Thai made Vios and Altis.
Jap made Corolla, factory fitted interiors with real leathers seats. Driving more than 3 years and so far so good.
Vios. Heard from Friend that his Dashboard pop up and some issues with seats and such. Complaining about some built quality. Driving for slightly more than a year.
Altis. Initially the engine is quiet and nice. After slightly more than a year, the engine is getting louder even with Full-Sync and constant service? Plus another friends who had problem with new batch of altis - dropping bodykits, leather seat problem (Suspect it is Syntheic Leather, not real leather) like the skin of leather start to wear out just a few week even with leather lotion being applied and some other build problems.
Heard that Altis comes in Singapore basic and that the leather seats and most interior is assemble in Singapore. The service personnel in BM suspect to be outsource personnel thus the ease of changing stuff here and there.
As said, the quality of Thai Made cars is not know till the car in Singapore is driven (heavily driven like 50km to 70km per day) for 3 years.
I truely believe that Jap made Toyota would still be better choice than a Thai made. Anyway .. BM is making even more $$$ selling Altis than Jap-made Toyota Corolla.
Anyway .... I chose Nissan instead of Toyota as even though for the budget I brough the Nissan, I could easily get a 1.8L Altis but then ... It is the built quality that I prefer Nissan (Made in Japan) than Altis. Plus the Nissan specs is better than Toyota.
Cheers....![]()
Slowly, Japan is starting to realise that cheap and quality doesn't mix. I previously worked in a re-nown Japanese company and I am not impress at all about how the Japanese managed the locals in cheaper countries.Originally posted by Dracoblu:......
1. Cheaper Land
2. Cheaper Labour
3. Cheaper parts (They say parts are from Japan but I seriously doubt that is all Parts - some parts could be from China or local Thailand)
4. Selling Price still almost the same
Well ... in most company and majority of the company. The top management only sees cost as number, revenue as numbers and all about numbers and figure and meeting the profits, growth of what expected of the board, investors, share holders and market.Originally posted by wbucket:Slowly, Japan is starting to realise that cheap and quality doesn't mix. Now a few companies are escaping from China for piracy issue. But some are still sinking deeper into their "low cost" project which in term might cost them more. Guess time will tell.
Actually some Japanese company already realise it. I heard a few industry bringing there production back to Japan......think getting a little off topic here.Originally posted by Dracoblu:Well ... in most company and majority of the company. The intangible benefits of better quality, reliability, customer satisfaction and etc is often been trade off when cost cutting projects or measures are in place.
Even staffs happiness, job satisfaction, productivity and etc are often not been traded-off.
