  Do your sum carefully. This is a long term commitment.Owning a car is a commitment. Main consideration is whether your husband will change jobs anytime in the future. Your usage of the car is really ideal for an OPC now, but we're not talking about months here, it's years. Just to take note, after you buy a car, no matter what car or how cheap, as long as your downpayment is not heavy, it will be difficult to sell the car off, at least in the first 2 years. Work out your budget, see how much you can put into the car every month.
  
  OPC car is a good alternative if u can live with the restriction. Firstly ,there's 17K saving upfront (further saving on loan interest). 2ndly, saving of $800 pa on road tax. This works out to a net saving of $2,500 a year or $48 a week ($48 divided by $20 = 2.4 coupons a week).
  
  Don't forget there are 11 public holidays in a year....If u can restrict yourself to 2 coupons a week, u will be better off owning a OPC vs a normal car.
  
  The next question is on monthly cash flow. A typical example for a brand new OPC: HDB parking $90, petrol $250, road tax $4.15, Insurance $125, instalment $498 (7 yr loan for $36000), maintenance $50 =total $1,020 per month .
  
  coe car:
  road tax increases by 10% up to 50% for each year onwards after renewing coe
  likely to have more maintenance and repair problem
  old car, not so shiok
  no usage hours restrictions
  
  If you are able to get used to the restricted usage hours for years to come, then opc will save you a bundle. The potential saving is $2500 per year($1700 + $800). A new car also will probably not give you so much headache.
  To consider a coe car, you need to look at what's the depreciation. Since a coe car has no parf, just take the selling price divide by the number of years left. It will probably be more than that of a new opc car.
  
  If you never display the coupon, 1st offence fine of not exceeding $5000 and subsequent conviction fine of not exceding $10000.
  
  If tampering of coupon, fine of not exceeding $20000 or imprisonment of not exceeding 12 months or both.

  Although INIT M can actively reproduce at any time, the virus only triggers if the infected Macintosh computer is running on Friday the 13th.
  
  3. INIT 1984
  
  Like the INIT M, it can actively reproduce at any time, but is only triggered if the user happens to start up the infected Macintosh computer on Friday the 13th (1991 or later).
  
  4. WM.ShowOff
  
  WM.ShowOff is a simple macro virus that infects Microsoft Word documents.
  
  5. DR&ET.1710
  
  It is triggered randomly on the 13th day of any month. When triggered parts of the hard drive will be overwritten with garbage.
  
  Within the body of the virus is the following encrypted text:
  (c) 23.5.3945 / DR & ETASCECLHVSPF-ACPRVINWI"
  
  BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Hi All marchie lovers,
  
  We have heard so much abt the good things abt march. I am just wondering whether there will be any potential/common problems with march in the long run.
  
  Currently I have owned my march for only abt 2 months. The only thing I felt is that the changing of gear is not smooth (esp 1st to 2nd). However, if the car has warmed up sufficiently (ie travelled a few km) then the prob disappears and it is a very smooth ride. Other than this minor prob, I am very satisfied and happy with my marchie.
  
  Maybe those who have own march for a longer period would like to share.
  
  I am also wondering who has the 'oldest' march K12 in this forum. hee...

  hi all, there is a meet up at kallang macs @1330hrs today(sat) for the Singapore Nissan Club (NEC), they are planning to go down to that evo 9 launch in kallang.If you are interested in going for that launch but have "no kakis" to go there with then go to the meet up at the above mentioned location and time.
  
  Just FYI i met them again last night after such a long time and once again they are a bunch of hilarious guys/gals. please do not feel threaten or shy for what so ever reason(s), just make the effort to go down for one of their meet-ups and you will eventually understand what i am trying to say.
  They do not talk purely about cars and cars, they do talk about other stuff ya and occasionally disturb each other mods done to each other cars...funny to see them "disturb" each other ya.hehehheheheh...
  they are in the midst of organising another group buy for car products if i heard it right last night and basically/occasionally you might benefit from the meet-ups because of the huge/better discount given to local car groups and not forgetting that they will try to help you with whatever questions/problems you have with your car or refer you to a place/workshop.
  
  They have been saying, asking me 'how come no K12 huh? or 'is there a k12 group in singapore?', 'huh there is a k12 forum,how come i don't know about it?'
  I believe that i should not speak for you guys/gals(exclusive k12 group) here but my objective(s) for coming into this forum is to one day see more k12 at the nissan(NEC) meet up.
  
  I have been reading the nissan march (k12) threads,postings even though since my last post here dated sometime back in Nov 2004 and i know some of you guys/gals were having problems in locating service centres/workshop,panel beating workshop, looking for aftermarket parts etc etc...
  i feel that if you were to post those questions on NEC the people there will or might be able to help you better.
  The answer that you get here(k12) forum is not neccessary the right answer for the k12 and sometimes i feel that you have been mislead by one or two of your fellow members who TLC(Talk like champion) on technical matters which to me is sad.

  my mileage for my k12(SDZ Plate) is at present 90,000k so i do give advise based on personal driving experience on the k12 and not true some comic book on k12(which is easy) and thru some unit of measurement that i happened to archive thru my blitz r-fit/r-vit in my car i can show you true facts and data that i drive my k12 very hard.
  I am not a car guru but when it comes to a k12 i can honestly say that i know this car well enough(thru personal experience) to help you in any way i can and not to be mislead but please post all question on the NEC website under the march folder..OH yes i am not a moderator and no one on NEC send me ya hehheheheheh i just wanna help the rest of the k12 drivers to the best i can..

  I work near Shenton Way......Didn't happen to see your car...There are not many Bean Greens around so I shouldn't have missed yours. Must be more observant in future ..My sun shade is left permanently on the windows at the back....
