<<<<<< ANYONE SAW >>>??? Happened At ard 3.50 - 4pm...

Hi to all Brothers & Sisters of sgcarforum....

I met with an accident on 24 Aug. Which is on Wednesday.... damn suay sia. Hai. The road was clear n dry... I was travelling on the major road... Was doing ard 60-65. Got this pick up. Was from a minor road... Was an uncontrolled T-junction by the way... The driver did not stop at the STOP LINE.

He carry on to turn right n applied my e-brakes... jialat... can't stop in time... For ur info, it was a pick up carrying those gas cylinders... wa knn sia... den bang. hit the right side front bumper of the pick up... lucky neva hit the centre of the pick up... When he check none of my 3 passenger injured, he started kow peh kow bu... coz mayb i was wearing my sch uniform. den somemore i p-plate ma. he thing he can ' makan' me... nb.... he said i was speeding...

while were xchanging particulars, he suddenly piss off.... he say i tok my finger point point at him... he say i buay song... ACTUALLY I USE MY FIVE FINGERS POINT AT THE DIRECTION N ASK Y HE NEVA STOP...he showed me his middle finger & pushed me on my chest, ask me 1 on 1 wif him... i shocked sia. if i wanna point at him i would already use my MIDDLE FINGER... knn again

my car now in a sorry state... heart pain... he threaten me his insurance company will fight all the way. i say i nt scared... the driver called me twice to threaten dat i was speeding. he said kana 12pts n fine somemore... wa liao. Now the case is still not settled yet... wad do u guys tink...?

Simple. Go make a police report and see if it is possible for you to charge him for road rage. I do hope that you managed to get his number plate down. Include in your report details of his language of course. This case will be handled by police if i’m not wrong, not TP. Then report another case to TP regarding this incident, how he did not stop at stop line and caused an accident.

From what you mention early, clearly his fault.

clearly is a road bully who wan to bully his way out of getting his point deducted.. next time call the police..

i did manage to get his particulars… my car has been access by IDAC liao… now at workshop… waiting for the insurance ting… i’m claiming from the driver insurance…. dunno the result yet.. the driver say he will fight the insurance case all the way…. cause he said i was speeding….

Aiya, no need to scare.

Whatever, u win already. If what you have describe is truth and plus u have take pictures. Then obviously you will win. It's similar like a front - back case. U are in the major road. Minor got to give way. Kenna accident, minor will always be wrong.

How he judge you are speeding? He got speed cam? Why not he is speeding out from the minor road and fail to give way to traffic on the major? Anyway, u fight sure you win.

BTW, I think the road rage thing, can forget about it till you got witness not related to you at that instance.

did anyone see him pushing you and vebally threaten you? if he did you can report him for physical assualt. and how was his language on the phone? vulgar? if yes report him for harassment.

add in the report that you are in sch uniform as such he think he can bully you. make this both a police and TP case. den kena blacklisted he hoi sei liao.

not enough with police and TP? call him his company and complain and ask the company to pay den make alot of noise. if they disregard you tell him you will write letter to all major news paper. ESP the chinese wan bao, den their balls sure shrink to the size of sugar grains

I totally agree with you on both points. It'll be nice if you've a pic on the scene of accident. He come out from minor road and hit a car from major road, clearly his fault. And the pt on reporting to poice, you can forget abt it as they wont ldo anything unless there's injuries.

However, when insurance is left to settle the payments, it's your word against his. So it's best to come to some form of agreement. Call him with confidence, tell him he's in the wrong, and see wad he says. He's clearly trying to scare you by calling you and acting fierce. Scare him. Tell him the seriousness of it when he lose the case and have to claim from his insurance, as I suppose he's driving a company vehicle.

He said i was speeding because when i applied e-brake, i left behind a stretch of tyre marks on the road surface. If i was driving even at 40km/h, tyre marks will b left behind if i applied the e-brake too rite..? The pai kia driver told me that his boss came down to the scene at took pictures of the tyre marks. He's going to use it as evidence to fight the case with me... Aniwaez, his boss came down after i left the accident scene.... hmm...

the worst thing can happen is the gas cylinders leak and explode together with the vehicles sia... hai...

my mum got into an accident a few mths back a suntec.
no one hurt, just a bruised ego and a jammed door.

in the end, we took pics (close up) of the door, photos of the accident road(both overview and zoomed in pics of the lane markings plus the directional arrows), pics from the co-driver seat(closest perspective to the driver's)

suggestion, take those pics during early morning, because then little cars, so it;s easier to see lane markings etc, and also for yr case, the tyre marks.

talk to the lorry driver. tell him if he wanna fight this case hard via insurance, he also won't win hands down. since he wanna fight his words against yours, go against him.

tell him, you push the case up to TP, and he risk losing points and perhaps his lifelihood. let tp go see the pics and tyre marks, and decide if you were really speeding. then see if he'd back down on a settlement with you. in any case, if he got no tyre marks, then it's obvious he didn't slow down or brake well enough to avoid you.

i got into a major accident back in '99, driving a 14 footer lorry, and collided with a old panel van (i was doing near 70 on west coast highway). the panel van disintegrated, but the driver recovered. tp got involved, and after a big round of investigations, the panel van was at fault. i didn't get penalised for anythin at all. simply because i'm driving straight in the junction, and he failed to give way when makin his turn from the opposite road. my tyre marks also left a huge trail on the road.

but drive carefully next time, there are some lorry drivers who drive as if they own the roads.

Fail to Stop at a Stop Line = Immediate Failure

He did not stop thats y u bang, u speeding or not donest matter bring it to police. Sure u win 1, that time my sister also kena same case

Actually.y din u expect the pick-up to turn out without stopping at the stop line. U should expect the unexpected.

I know this is not yr fault but once u hit sumbody from behind,veri difficult to fight leh....

Seems to me that the pick-up has already turned into the major road completely and you didn't take evasive action to avoid colliding into him...If the pick-up has already turned into the major road and you hit him, you will be at fault.

bro, there is no way he can prove that u are speeding. think he get speed camera or the TP gun installed in ah. even tp need such equipment to prove.

fight the case and teach him a lesson

Sad case man.. Judging from the pics, the left side of your car seemed to take the most impact and you said you hit the lorry's right side bumper so he was probably 1/4 out of the lane already? IMHO, I never like to drive on the extreme left lane if the road is clear due to such drivers with big balls thinking that the major road cars will either slow down for them or go onto other lanes.
