  if i am not wrong,it should be $22 for weekdays and $24 for weekends
  min 'rental' should be 1 1/2 hours that comes up to $33 for weekdays and $36 for weekend...oh btw the first lesson u also have to pay the enrolment fee for the private instructor about $60++ that is what i can recall

  I paid flat rate of $24/hr. be it weekend or weekday. circuit, pay according to the fee at the driving centre

  it seems private is cheaper than public (SSDC CDC BB).
  
  i heard the rate for private is $40+/100mins neg., public is $58.
  
  and, most private ones paid about $500-$1000, while the public ones paid about $1500 above.. learning time is about 3-12 mths?

  To those people who had taken private lessons, is it true you have to pay a sum of around $100 for using the instuctor's car on test day? Why must pay so much?

  nah i think thats for sch coz i paid abt $100 i think (cant remember ) to use SSDC;s car. Spent abt $2700 in total but passed 1st time - took all the night lessons with fixed instructor so it cost me a whole lot.

  My friend's private instructor told him about the 'rental' fee. Just want to help him to confirm if this is normal practice. I think $2700 is well spent if you can pass 1st time. Another friend's sister took the test 6 times after learning at a driving centre and still fail. Now she has given up so I guess all the money's gone to waste

  yeah was working back then so i had no choice but to go with the more expensive night lessons. She really shouldnt give up after trying so hard. Maybe she shld get a fixed instructor. The same guy can help u correct your mistakes and know your strengths and weaknesses better.

  the 100 dollar is for using the insturctor's car n also to cover for insurance i ever hear my instructor sae. anywae i took everyting lik 4 mthns ago, start learnin pratical 1 n a half month and pass on first time at ssdc.

  3 circuit drives @ 52 x 3 - $ 156
  Bookin fee on test date - $100
  Btt, Ftt, Pdl, Application, Lic - $110
  
  Total - $726.00

  About 1k in total, 1.5 months practical in CDCC, first time pass
  its was quite expensive considering the fact that I had Class 4 military licence

  spent $1.8k as being in the army i can only take lessons during weekends and my instrustor is fixed....i was frm SSDC....
