dont be greedy. 10k is already very low. the only thing now for coe is that they will go north, and not south.

I thought so too when COE went below 20k a year back, but it continued south. So now that more COEs have been released, won't it not be possible for it to drop further?
I agree that 10k is already very low, but for Cat A, 10k can still make up to 25% of a car's price, so price sensitive buyers for this Cat will still like to see it go further down right? But for Cat B then maybe the story can be different.

Still many cars under old PARF system (before the current 110% ARF) so I think owners will continue to deregister their cars to take advantage of low car prices, then LTA will release more COEs to replace the deregistered vehicles, this will gradually level out when those who change cars these 2-3 years find it hard to change again in the next 2-3yrs, and then new car buyers bopian must fight with each other for limited COEs. So I think the low COE will still persist for at least 2 years, which means reaching sub 10K is very possible… unless garment change rules again…

u are right. If every month spend $200 more, then 10yrs easily $24K more. So current low COE not really "low", since adding the 20K+ is still back to the 30K+ range. So maybe if petrol continue to go up, COE may continue to go down...
