and can i stall in 2nd gear?yes you can stall in gear 2. in fact you stall it more likely in gear 2 than in gear 1, ceteris paribus.
from my own theory, engine stalls because the throttle applied to it is not enough to overcome the inertia of the vehicle, hence it stalls. when a car is at low speed, it does not carry enough momentum, so more force is required to accelerate it. if the throttle is not enough, the engine experiences more resistance and dies. as you should have learnt in theory, the lower gear, the greater the force, and vice versa.
correct me if i'm wrong.

and can i stall in 2nd gear when i change fr 1st to 2nd? like change to second just release the clutch lar.. damn scared to accelerate incase engine rev den instructor nag agian..a case of putting gas too much too early. it's a balance between the legs. you gotta get the feel of the clutch...
and btw, ensure you get enough speed at gear 1, if not there's more tendency to stall when you change gears. rule of thumb: too high a gear at too low a speed stalls the engine...Edited by Theatre Of Dreams 11 Oct `05, 8:55PM

do gently
release clutch already while you apply gas. they go currently...
don't worry the engine won't stall so easily if you release clutch
smoothly, and when you learn the technique of rescuing the engine
by feeding more gas.
with more practice your legs can do it so freely & swiftly like they're programmed on their own.

Hahaha
I thought people do wheelspin at 3-4k rpm?. And wheelspin no need to biting point. If you got a car with sports clutchplate, can pop clutch and the car will shoot forward.
Usually (for me,) its release clutch, biting point, accelerator, release clutch little bit more until it's smooth and not jerking. Then you can upshift liao.

i m going thru my manual now, it seems that tp cannot deduct marks for wheel spin!! but if spinnig wheels are considered reckless driving, i got nth to say. shouldnt this fall under rapid accleration?

Wheelspin not so easy as it looks.
Accelerate fast, but also takes practice. Seriously, don't try. Learn how to drive normally first. Hahaha
