  Why mazda rx8 from parallel importer , omv at 38k, selling at 98k, and why saab 93, omv 29k selling at 117k ?
  
  y so expensive ???
  
  then why 350Z omv 48k selling at 140k, and lexus es300 42k selling for 155k ??
  
  i thought there is a correlation between the car omv and car price ??
  
  i.e. higher omv means higher car price. in this case, y mazda omv higher than saab 93, the selling price is lower ? similarly, in the 350 and es300...

  I dont know much abt this omv thing but its abit obvious right. How can you compare the price of a Normal car to a luxury/european car

  well, maybe the pic is clearer if u consider strictly the depreciation of each car. more luxury/higher spec = higher depreciation. diff cars command diff depreciation wad.

  OMV is the value of all the parts in the car if sold separately to ppl who want to buy spare parts.
  Cost of car is determine by demand and supply, ie, the manufacturer/distributor think how much ppl are willing to pay for that car.
  So there is disimilarity between the 2 values.

  to elaborate further, consider a sports car. The parts useed are of high quality, hence the OMV is high. But not many ppl are willing to pay a high price for sports car.
  For luxury car, the parts although good, are not as good as sports car. Hence, OMV lower. But all the ah peks want to buy luxury cars to show off their riches, so the cost can be pushed higher, to chop carrots...

  eh............. the Euro is stronger den the Yen? and i dun think can say sports car parts are better den luxury parts... total diff cat....... For eg, leather seats vs sports seats........
  
  and i guess its the marketing side dat is protraying a diff class
