my fren met an weird incident last week. he and his groups of fren went onto a cab. the driver was not local. his spoken english was v v lousy, with a funny accent. my fren was suspicious and to hsi horror, found out there is no taxi driver licence in the cab.
next, he(suspected bangla) dunno where is AMK!!! (omg! is it v diff to get to amk from seletar camp??? )
AND the driver stalled more than 5 times along the short trip to amk
lastly, he dint even have any money to change my fren. (my fren gave a ten dollar note. the trip cost 6.)
until now, my fren still tink its a illegal immigrant.

Few months ago, my brother driving along bedok centra with me on the way home....If your know there is a taxi stand oppsite the bedok interchange....Just when we pass a taxi stand a taxi suddenly cut into our lane from 3rd lane which the taxi was and we was at 2nd lane....Lucky my brother reaction fast then "siam" the cab.....My brother horn for at least 5 sec then the driver show us middle finger. My brother farking dulan becoz he said if there is car on 1st lane we confirm kiss the other car and somemore show us middle finger..... SO he was farking dulan then stop furhter up at the bus stop and wait for the farking taxi.....Then we thinking he super scare becoz he switch the headlight to dim light then stop at the taxi stop...We waited for around 10 mins then think justfark care him....just drove off....
What kind of cab driver is this......Endanger other road user.... -

Taxi driver where got kana booked by TP one ? Cabby most , majority very good , experience driver , just because u saw a few black sheeps on the road and curse along with the rest ? Unfair !
Taxi driver how good are their driving skill ? You just multiply the time they had on the road everyday , and by days and by years , then looked at their acident record , it very good compare to those civilian drivers .
Let's be honest , some civilian drivers driving also s*u*c*k*s la , especially those Mercedes drivers , they can actually drive 80km/h on the extreme right lane , they dunno the meaning of extreme right lane , they are the ones to get booked by TP . -

If base you guys on the comments you'd made on cabbies , most of us would doubt you are one kind of good drivers la , sounds so impatient .
Just relax la , be patient on the road , if the cabby want to stunt , let them be , why take them on ?
Be patient is a very nice thing to do on the road , patience can save alot of trouble .
Once you lost it , it can be very troublesome to you , and the rest of the road users .
Be patient can actually saves life too , or it'll be too late , when you kill someone because of your impatient .

Aiyo...there still have some good and zai taxi driver mah.Cabby uncle in his 30s, driving on roads at 90km/h and expressway at 110km/h. From serangoon to ssdc in 10mins, wasn't too late for my lesson.Woo lala..my most shiokest ride ever!

Yea agreed. Taxi drivers really suck.
ALWAYS change lane without signalling. ALWAYS tailgating.
Worst is when i'm on the cab, he can go like at 60km/h when there are no other cars around.
And what pisses me off more, is when they drive into my housing estate, driving that time look left, look right, look everywhr at all the houses. But NEVER look ahead on the road and never speed up. Sickening. Then when u ask them can go abit faster PLS, they say " u think taxi can fly ah ".
Dumbest answer i have ever heard.
And when my friend told me that taxi drivers need to have at least 10 years of driving experience. i was really really shocked.
10 years of driving experience and they can still be such inconsiderate drivers.

aiya haiz taxi drivers spend the ENTIRE day sitting there in his driver's seat driving n driving n driving. us private drivers juz spend what..? 1 hour at max from point A to B? (or a few points?) Sometimes its also the passengers making ridiculous requests like screaming at the driver "TURN LEFT HERE!!!" when the driver is already in a right turn pocket and these taxis have to make a decision whether or not to listen to the customer etc. They spend several hours each time on the road so I guess we must also emphatise with them. After a while it gets tiring. so yeah. Although yeah many of them are very inconsiderate.

Along the PIE, the driver kept driving on the extreme left lane of the expressway at about 60kmh. I advised him to stop tailgating a lorry and if it was possible to drive on the other lanes as that lane was meant for slower vehicles.
The driver then abruptly changed lanes before driving back to the extreme left lane. Then he suddenly stopped the vehicle on the left road shoulder on the PIE, just before entering BKE (Woodlands) Exit 24.
I questioned him on the reason for stopping the vehicle. The driver said he 'does not like people to tell him how to drive his taxi.'
He then accused me of 'thinking that I've got money and can order people around', an accusation which was absurd. The driver then said that he had 'plenty of time to play with us, even until midnight' and that 'he doesn't mind sleeping in the cab for the night.'
Then the driver claimed that he was hungry and took out his dinner box and began to eat in front of us. He even taunted us by saying 'too bad you cannot eat.'
I asked if he could continue to drive after eating. But he refused and said that he needed to sleep. I demanded that he carry on driving, but this was greeted with his vulgarities.
The driver tried to scare my wife by saying 'What do you think if on-coming vehicles come crashing onto the back of the vehicle? The back passengers will surely die first and will be crushed to death.'
The driver also switched off the air-conditioning and refused to let my wife open the doors to allow air in by auto-closing them. Disturbed, I called the Comfort hotline to see if they could arrange another cab to pick us up as we could sense that we were in a precarious situation.
To our disappointment, we were told that taxis cannot pick up passengers on the expressway.
The driver said he was not afraid of being banned from driving cabs as he did not mind losing his job. He also challenged us to sue him and take him to court.
The episode ended when my son hailed another Comfort cab, ironically, from West Mall Shopping to pick us up on the PIE.
I have always believed in the high quality services of Comfort taxi but this dramatic incident has definitely changed my mind about the standards of the company.
This incident clearly portrays the unruly and unreasonable behaviour of the Comfort taxi driver. It was raining very heavily on that stormy night and you can imagine the physiological trauma and distress that my wife, who has a history of hypertension, went through, being stranded on the road with a 'weird' driver in a cab at night in almost complete darkness.
This incident has also tarnished the image of Comfort taxi drivers and it raises questions about Comfort's philosophy of providing excellent and fuss-free transport services to commuters.
I am totally flabbergasted and shocked at this incident and I hope to get a satisfactory explanation for what happened on that night.
