Don't like those big headlamps...
when you have the body size of a 2L car coupled with a 1.5L engine you need more work to push the load. Means more gas is needed.Originally posted by rich989898:I thought lower cc drink less?
Having the same body, the 2.0L has better FC than 1.5L?Originally posted by nullifi3d:when you have the body size of a 2L car coupled with a 1.5L engine you need more work to push the load. Means more gas is needed.

well some cars are like that...underpowered....take the TS for eg....and the old renault espace (the 2.0L version)Originally posted by mr sunray:How we know it's using a 1.5L engine for a 2L car body?
Isn't it silly to do that?
Do you think nissan is brainless by doing that? Somemore on its latest new model.
nissan is brainless to introduce this vehicle la... coupled with horrendous marketing.... 1.5 and 2.0 fight with latio and cefiro... why not introduce something in btw?? and its marketed as a lady's car.. though i have no qualms abt tt others might not.. and the specs... sigh... low end torque agree good interior i agree... rear drum and dependant suspension i dun agree... oh no heng@ is coming to get me....Originally posted by mr sunray:How we know it's using a 1.5L engine for a 2L car body?

I am driving Latio Sport. FC is only average around 11.5km/l to 12.5km/l instead of the 15km/l to 16km/l claimed by the sales person and some ppl out there. My travel pattern is 70%-80% highway & 20%-30% city driving.Originally posted by mr sunray:Pls justify your statement.
Not all nissan new models drink. Does latio drink too?

I will be happy if it average 13 km/l.Originally posted by FireSnake:Control buttons for audio on steering is definitely a plus.. but not sure if Tan Chong's sales people will still claim that FC is good too for this model...
They can't possible be using different body size and dimensions just for the 1.5L models, now that would be brainless. TC motors won't have to worry though, their sales will always be in the top 3 in singapore. As long the regular singaporean assures his relatives, sons or daughters or friends that nissan is still a reliable and decent brand that is.Originally posted by mr sunray:How we know it's using a 1.5L engine for a 2L car body?

The wood trim's design and distribution as well as the 3 knobs in the central console looks suspiciously like that of the cefiro...Originally posted by rich989898:
I think 11.5-12.5 km/l is quite expected and reasonable for a 1.5L car... 15-16km/l is probably achievable only under test conditions.Originally posted by FireSnake:I am driving Latio Sport. I'm trying to find out from other Latio owners if they are getting the FC as claimed...
ya, the central console looks like it's take off the cefiro.Originally posted by cornyfish2000:The wood trim's design and distribution as well as the 3 knobs in the central console looks suspiciously like that of the cefiro...![]()
For the Sylphy you mean?Originally posted by sir_peanuts:ya, the central console looks like it's take off the cefiro.
but singapore might not necessarily get it. maybe not unless you get the top-pf-the-range model (for cefiro it's only available on the 350JM)
otherwise they fill up that area with an after-market set.
Quite expansive, 1.5L 71.8k and 2.0L 83.5kOriginally posted by rich989898:
The new sylphy looks cool!
Any comments about the car?
Thought of getting one, what is the price?
Wah.. that's crazy pricing... those who can fork out 71k will go for the civic liao, those who can fork out 83k and maintain a 2.0L car will go for the cefiro 200jk...Originally posted by PLC guy:Quite expansive, 1.5L 71.8k and 2.0L 83.5k![]()
