My Friend Owned a 2006 Mit Lance 1.6M,10 year Loan,Monthly $520 excluding Road Tax, insurance, petrol and parking fee and car servicing fee...Originally posted by FlowerSand:For Example, a old toyota 1.6M registered in 1992 cost $16800
a loan of 5 yrs with a 4% interest makes the total amount of
Interest rate for 5 yrs, $16800 x 0.04 x 5 = $3360
Cost of Car = $16800
Monthly amount payable to bank = ($16800+3360) / 60 mths
=336
Road tax per mth (although its paid yearly or bi-yearly)
= 500 + 0.75 x (1593cc-1000cc) x 1.5 surcharge for car more than 14 yr old
= 118.10/mth road tax
Total cost of maintaining a 1.6M Toyota old car = 336 + 118.1
Wow.. its $454.10 excluding insurance, petrol and parking fee and car servicing fee...
1oyr loan like too long le..Originally posted by guardsmen:My Friend Owned a 2006 Mit Lance 1.6M,10 year Loan,Monthly $520 excluding Road Tax, insurance, petrol and parking fee and car servicing fee...
I think the car should have 5 years COE left. With only 5 years left, you can only take 4 yrs loan, if I'm not wrong. Which finance company you go to? 4% interest rate is quite low. Also, your road tax input wrong figure liao, should be 450 instead of 500(makes little diff anyways). You should also include the insurance and montly parking fees because these are fixed costs. I think you can get less than 1k insurance for a third party insurance. Not long, its too damn long, with 3.5% interest, you'll be paying just for interest close to 5 years.Originally posted by HolySniper:1oyr loan like too long le..![]()

Compact Luxury Car - > Nissan Presea 1.6M ctii, 1990-1994 production now no more in productionOriginally posted by olala:Yes,it certainly depends
if ur out for rare exoctic cars like the nissan sx/older generation sports car not in production, den yes,i'll go for second hand
well,unless my dad's name lee
take another example,a car that has been rolled out in showroom few mnths back but selling as sec hand but cheaper by few 10k's
den i'll take the second hand
most importantly,u've got to calculate mainatnence cost/car condition
maintainence gets frequent with age
do ur maths b4 making a decession![]()
