to all cityspeed users, pls be careful

i was recently sent a bill by cityspeed for 1k for damages which was not done by me
i made a booking from cityspeed on day X morning and returned the vehicle on the same evening, the vehicle was fine except some scatches which almost all cityspeed vehicles hav.
the next morning, member y made a booking, when he/she went to the vehicle, he/she found the vehicle damaged with big dents and long and deep scratches on the vehicle and he/she reported the damage to cityspeed according to cityspeed, the person reported the damaged b4 he/she activated the booking
so it can b quite obvious that some idiot smashed his/her car into the ciyspeed vehicle aft i ended my booking and b4 menber y activated the booking
from wat cityspeed told me, according to the terms and conditions, since i was the last user, i have to be responsilble for damages... unless i can proof that i did not contribute to the damages. and worst, they only told me dat 1 week aft i ended the booking, how to find proof? wat kind of stupid logic is dat, its really a big loop hole in their terms and conditions
i suggest taht all cityspeed users take photos of the vehicle b4 and aft booking... at least there is proof -

Hi all,
I'm truly shocked after reading the post by hippo-banana. That is exactly what I'm experiencing right now. They sent me an email saying a member reported damages after my reservation. And they're going to send me the damage repair invoice soon. The thing is, those scratches were already listed on their vehicle condition summary. In fact, the car has many other scratches.
Now, however, they're accusing me of not reporting the damages and because of that, I'll have to bear the cost of repair, supposedly "in accordance with their rules and regulations." I'm having none of that though as I have reasonable grounds to believe that those damages/scratches were already listed on their vehicle condition summary. I have since shot back an email to them and still awaiting their reply since.
What is troubling me now is the uncanny similarity between the situation hippo-banana faced and the one I'm facing now. I'm beginning to wonder, is this some sort of unscrupulous business tactic adopted by Cityspeed in getting members to foot the cost of repairs/maintenance of the cars? And how do we actually verify the exact cost of the damage repair? Let's say, they're accusing us of causing scratches to the front right-side of the fender. So how do we know that the cost of repair only pertains to that particular scratch and not repairs/maintenance to the whole car?
Besides CASE, are there any other legal avenues we can pursue? After all, I believe I've already abided by their rules and regulations in making sure that any defects not listed on the vehicle condition summary are promptly reported.
I sincerely hope all those who've experienced or are experiencing a similar situation with Cityspeed would come forward. Perhaps it's time we stand up for our consumer rights. For a start, I might be going to CASE soon and hoping to highlight this issue by writing to the forum pages of our print newspapers. -

i have 2 friends who experienced this too. 1 was lucky to escape it. the other wasnt, n was slapped with a damage invoice amounted to $800 plus.
e lucky girl got a call 3 days after her booking and was told over the phone that her boot was banged and rear left tail light was gone. my friend who was a law student argued and told them she wanted to speak to higher authority and she asked them to show them pics and time blah blah.
in e end they didnt call her, till now, its been 4mths and the bill wasnt send to her.
the 'suay' 1 got a call next day and was told that the car's headlight (forgot which side) was all gone and was badly damaged. they took pics and emailed to him after he argued that it was perfectly alright when he returned the car. he told them he reverse parked his car and due to this it might been some cars coming up damaged it. but the city speed pp took the car pic n it showed the car was slotted into the lot. this is something amiss.
he argued but he wasnt lucky. they told him that he was e last user. he was billed with $800 plus and i think for 3mths alr he havent pay up and he went to close his posb link acc and refused to pay up.
i think have to die die argue back and if failed, followed my friend, withdraw all the $ and close ur acc and jus pretended nth happens.

looks lyk i m not the only one facing such situations... taking abt cost of repairs, they showed me the pics and the damages were at the drivers side... , i went to look at the repaired car back at the carpark, not only the big dents and and scatches were repaired (which i paid for).... those small dents and scatches on the other sides were gone!!! it looks completely new!!!! -

Advanced cameras like the NikonD2Xs have the option of encoding your GPS coordinates into this data to confirm your location too. Use Photoshop or any other image editor to check it. -

One of the many, many reasons why I terminated my CitySpeed membership earlier this year....no professionalism at all.
A piece of advice to all CitySpeed members...don't part with yr hard earned money and allow them to "cheat" you of yr cash....well, unless you really are guilty of the damages to the car
