if there is, all test car should be equipped with them. and stayed on the left most lane. oh and also the test car can only drive on certain route set by the company.
unfortunately i think more test routes only on some streets where the speed limit is not really high.... -

The receptionist transferred the call immediately.

He then hung up.
We also called the handphone number posted on the forums, but it had been disconnected.
The New Paper team then went to his workplace in Tuas for a third try to clarify claims with him.
In the company's parking lot was a yellow Fiat Punto HGT - the same model of car that his father had reportedly bought for him shortly before the accident.
At about 5.45pm, three young men, none of whom resembled the picture of the supposed driver, came out of the building and got into the Fiat.
One of the men, who refused to give his name, said he was a worker there. He got out of the car to speak to us while the other two drove off.
He claimed that the man named on the forums had quit the company early last year.
He also claimed that the supposed driver had sold the yellow Fiat to one of them.
'The speculation is just making trouble for our car. Please (tell the public), don't tailgate our car, it endangers our lives,' he said.
But when The New Paper told him that we spoke to the supposed driver that morning through the office line, he changed the subject.
ZOOMED OFF
At 6.15pm, the yellow Fiat returned to the factory complex. Twenty minutes later, we saw that it was driven to the back of the factory. A metal gate was pulled behind it to block it from view.
Five minutes later, a medium-built man came out of the building with a group of other men.
We could not see his face as he was wearing a motorcycle helmet with the visor pulled down, his head lowered.
Then he got onto a motorbike and zoomed off as we flagged at him to stop.
At about 7.30pm, the security guard locked the gates of the complex.
The New Paper had also sent an online message to the driver via his supposed forum-user identity, but he did not respond.

if he was to be sold the car to someone else , do he need to : A) stay at the building and work? B) have to cover himself and left the building?
all this was just a helping hand of his friends who gang up with him to help him to get over with the media... hey regan Lee , your tricks s u c k s la , next time try another way , okay? who the hell will buy your car and besides , if u really sold your car , do u still need to be in the building while u have been ordered to resign last year? wat the hell are u doing there then?

I think after the fatal accident at least the police should have confiscated his licence pending investigation.

I didn't like the facelift that Fiat gave that generation in the first place. Then the twit had to make it worse with that body kit. It's carbage now.

Man charged for causing death of sales agent during test drive

THE man who caused the death of a sales consultant two years ago while test driving a sports car has finally been charged with reckless driving.
Regan Lee Da Wen, 26, appeared at the Subordinate Court on Monday, 18 months after the fatal accident.
Lee was test-driving the high-performance Mazda MX-5 in October 2005 with sales agent 22-year-old Angela He Xueli seated beside him.
He was travelling along Upper Paya Lebar Road towards Bartley Road when he lost control of the vehicle.
The car hit a central road divider, crashing into a black BMW, then flipping over and colliding into an oncoming mini-van.
The crash killed Ms He.
Lee was expressionless when the charge of reckless driving causing death, was read to him.
Straits Times Interactive understands that civil suits have also been filed against Lee by the victim's family and possibly other parties.
Lee is now out on bail of $10,000.
If convicted under the Road Traffic Act, Lee could be jailed up to 5 years.
Speaking to Straits Times Interactive, Lee's lawyer, Julian Tay, said his client has been haunted by the incident.
Mr Tay said he is unaware if Lee's license has been revoked but said he knows that Lee is 'no longer driving'.
Lee's pre-trial conference has been set for June 18.

Man who crashed car in test drive charged

SINGAPORE : After a two-year investigation, the man blamed for causing the death of a car salesgirl was charged in court on Monday with reckless driving.
Regan Lee Da Wen, 26, was accused of causing the death of 22-year-old He Xueli, by driving a Mazda MX-5 convertible dangerously during a test drive in October 2005.
Lee was said to have lost control of the car along Upper Paya Lebar Road, causing it to go over the road divider.
The car crashed head-on into a BMW, before flipping and smashing into a van.
Lee was unhurt but the agent sitting beside him died in hospital later.
Five people in the black BMW were taken to hospital for breathing difficulties and chest pains, and a couple in the van escaped unscathed.
Lee, who will appear in court on June 18 for a pre-trial conference, faces a maximum five-year jail term if found guilty.
He is out on S$10,000 bail.
Other than the criminal charge, Lee is also facing civil proceedings, brought against him by other parties in the accident. - CNA/ms -
