What to do in this situation ?

I'm sure many of you encountered this....
You are approaching a traffic light and it turns amber. You know you can brake in time, but if u chiong, you might not pass it in time. There is a car following very closely behind you. Do you slam your brakes or chiong ?
2nd situation. You approach a bend and wanna turn right. The right turn arrow starts flashing after u inch out, u can't reverse. Do you just go or obstruct traffic ?
If you do go, will you get caught for beating the red light ? -
regarding the first scenario.... driving skools always tell u to slow down when approaching junction because of this reason.... the car following closely behind u should anticipate ur emergency brake.. or he should slow down... but in the first place why is he tailgating u... if i were u... depending on how far i am frm the junction i will chiong or brake... if the guy behind u slams into u... it is he who is at fault... not u...Originally posted by Rynax:I'm sure many of you encountered this....

second scenario.... juz go... u will have enough time to make the turn.... -
Our drivers have so many bad habits.They already forgot what the Driving School taught them.e.g.Tailgating,stop inside yellow junction box,chiong at traffic junction,chiong at pedestrain traffic light,don bother to turn on signal light when doing left/right turning,talk with hp during driving,flash head light when others not give way.
I always found those involved in accidents not only came from Taxi and lorry but private car as well.
We may have first world road system but we have third world drivers.

if u can stand the humilation of your car protruding out at the junction..and everyone crossing the road will look into your car, than stay put and dun move..
hahaha, usually turn to red arrow will have a fw seconds lag before the other side of the traffic move. So i think it's okie to turn.
For first scenario, must judge. No camera, of course chiong. -

9 car distance? Normally for scenerio 1, I usually let the vehicl roll as in release acelerator when approaching a junction with green light for quite some time and depends on the distance I am from the stop light, I would decide to floor the acelerator or the brakes.
No.2... if it is just flashing, I would go ahead as I am already out of the stop line liao... -

my instructor taught me before
when u nearing a traffic light,
if the pedistrian traffic light is still green, it means that it is okie to maintain yr speed.
if already red, means that the lights are going to red soon. So, slow down and get ready to stop
i always use that as a guide and it works -
if for me,in the first case,i juz speed up... Wait u do e braking,ppl bang u behind,u feel ur heart pain pain,wallet big hole.. For the 2 nd case,sure got some lag time for the lights...
