    • hi guys

just to check with you, how often do you wash your car? and what can I do to rid the surface of the "sandy" feeling even though I've washed my car? I'm currently using Dove carwash shampoo.

Do I need a different solution / cloth for windscreen, and for those rubbery cloth that removes water quickly, what are those type of cloth called?

For waxing, how should application be done and the kind of sponge used? any special sponges?

    • Just do basic washing once a week can already…. Then get professional guys to polish your car once every 3 months if you’re rich or once every 6 months if you are not so rich…

    • Nothing is as important as getting rid of bird sh*t ASAP with water when you see it on your car..leave it there for a long time and it'll damage your paintwork.. Laughing

    • u can claybar ur car, i have seen Carrefour selling it in the car department. look out for a plastercine like bar. its not together with the car wash stuff but its hanging on the pillar (there's one pillar in the car section alley)

they have bars for dark n light color, get the one tat u need. u dun really need detailers. i have been claybaring my car with water and its fine.

here's a webbie teaching u how to use a claybar properly. just ignore the advertisments Very Happy

    • no I'm not parked near any sandblasting sites but I sure need to give my car a good treatment...

had some dents due to fatigue driving and wrong estimation and bumping pillar in parking lot sometimes so need to "overhaul" on exterior too. My workshop offering less than 1k for panel beating plus fresh coat of paint.

Are tyre foam necessary to protect the rubber's durability or just for cosmetic purpose?

turtle wax is gd. but try to avoid those hard type. try use liquid wax.. cuz if u use those hard type n u dunno hw to polish. it leaves stain on ur car.

ok. so it is called cake type? well, tat one dry up very fast, n u realli need to spread it evenly. no need hard, but need same amount of strength. liquid wax, yes, it can be done with cloth. if u not sure abt wax, dun use it. use the autoglym super resin polish can le. it works same as wax. IMO, i feel tat waxing shld give professional do ba. fork out abit of money. let ur car shine for up to 6mths. isn't tat more worth
