    • I bought a Geely car and they are very bad quality. The wheel bearings get damaged before 10,000 kms, the brake pads also, the shock absorbers are really bad. Many, many electrical problems.

Does anybody else have had this kind of experience with Geely cars.

    • i suggest u ditch the car. ur life is more important.

but anyway, seriously, if you choose to buy a geely, you should know what u are getting. it's like buying chicken rice from a hawker centre compared with buying it at a restaurant. u can't complain if the forks n spoons are a bit too oily, not silver enough, floor wet, market smell, no tissue provided, no free flow of water, etc.

u must understand that u get wad u pay for.

if i buy a geely car - i'll presume i onli pay for 4 weeks and a chair. as long as the wheels and chair dont drop off halfway when i drive - i'll b happy.

likewise for buying chicken rice from hawker centre. as long as got chicken, got rice, be happy.

Really? I don't think so leh..My father's Picanto's warranty only cover servicing fees, parts also need to pay..But if the spoilt part is due to original defects, then maybe don't need pay..but if it's parts that needs to be replaced due to wear and tear like brake pads, those I think need to pay..

Rarely got dealers give 3-years warranty everything free..Volvo is the only one I can think of for now..My uncle's Volvo S40 servicing and parts all free..but then again, you get what you pay for..S$114,500 to be exact.. Laughing

Mini also mah... but theirs is 2+1... meaning 2 years full factory warranty coverage, while the 3rd year goes through 3rd party claims. 3rd party claims usually only can claim parts warranty... labour charge will still apply.

    • My neighbourhood got this OPC geely car, I see it parked at the same spot all the time, even on weekends. Laughing Last time I checked, all the grass under its parking spot has dried up and died. Laughing

WTH? Grass dried up and die?! Never touch the car for so long? There can only be a few reasons:

      1) He buy and bai sui nia..too much money dunno where to spend it..
      2) He regretted buying it, but sell it also no value, might as well let it rot there..
      3) He forgot to specify the Geely CK with airbags, too afraid to drive it without airbags, so never touch it..

    • CAUTION:

be careful of china cars, especially geely brand. my husband was posted to shanghai for work and while there we bought a geely car. it was quite cheap, about 60,000 chinese renminbi (about 12,000 singapore dollars). less than a year and before clocking 10,000km, the car needed extensive overhaul. we had to write it off as a VERY bad investment.

all of you should read the following articles:
