Racetrack In Singapore: Heard anything?

  Hi,
  
  There was some talk back in March about building a motor racetrack in Singapore (Not F1 track, pls. That's a separate issue) that could host some regional races and provide local speed freaks with an outlet without running the risk of killing others on the road..
  
  Anybody knows what happened to it?

  Thanks Vigelic, looks like I missed the thread. So, does this mean that there are no more plans for a purpose-built track in Singapore?
  
  I'm sorry, but I've been trying to follow the news articles and it seems like its always a on and off issue. Frankly, I've simply lost track (pardon the pun) of whether we are getting one or not.

  Not as long as it remains commercially non-viable. Land prices are shooting through the roof...will a racetrack earn more than building a hotel?

  correct. there will not be a purpose-built track in sg.
  
  well as least be glad they've green lighted the street circuit for F1.
