I take a CausewayLink bus, as the cost of reducing the travel time by one hour a day (by driving through the second link) is about 4.5 times the cost of using the bus service. This is not worthwhile enough at this time.Originally posted by codename4:hmm, btween horizon hill and sutera, which is nearer to causeway? ( i know horizon hill is nearer to 2nd link )

Taman Sutera is closer to Perling interchange, which will remain congested until the current upgrade has completed. Taman Sutera Utama is close to the north-bound lanes of Jalan Skudai, which does not really make it close to the causeway, as the TUTA interchange where a U-turn can be made is susceptible to congestion during peak hours. Horizon Hills is about ten to twenty minutes further away from the causeway compared to Taman Sutera and Taman Sutera Utama. There is a plan to build a road linking Jalan Skudai and Nusajaya, making Horizon Hills significantly closer to the causeway, but just like any plan proposed by the Malaysian government, it can take a decade to materialize, if it ever materializes at all.I am one of the "minority" who have never been robbed successfully in Johor Baru. I was almost robbed once, but it was in the town area of Johor Baru.

There was a Malaysian CIQ-Senai Airport bus service for a short while months ago, but it has been terminated, probably due to lack of passengers. Senai had too few useful international flights to make it attractive to Singapore residents.
I do not travel from TUTA, so I do not know the bus fare for a journey from TUTA to Jurong East Interchange. However, the bus fare from Jurong East to anywhere along the route is 3.50 Sing dollars.
From Jurong East, if you wish to go to TUTA, board CW3 at Jurong East, then switch to 666 at the Gelang Patah bus station. If you read The Straits Times, you should have seen a forum letter giving free but slightly negative publicity to the service a few weeks ago. The 3.50 Sing dollar CW3 bus fare paid at Jurong East already covers the 666 bus fare.
The route might be changed a little at the end of July 2007, resulting in Taman Sri Yakoob to be a CW3 terminal. The schedule and frequency of CW3 is also being improved a little from the current 30-45 minutes a bus. You can find some posters on CW3 buses about this.

JOHOR BARU: What seemed like a mob assault turned out to be civilians taking the law into their own hands when some 30 men attacked two robbery suspects at Pulai Perdana here at 7.15pm on Friday.
The mob smashed the victimsÂ’ car and were beating them mercilessly when four policemen arrived on the scene to rescue them.
The mob tried to prevent the police officers from rescuing the two men by trying to force open the doors of the patrol cars.
The injured victims were taken to the Kangkar Pulai police station for investigations. But while waiting for an ambulance, they fled from the station.
Shortly after their escape, a woman came to the police station to file a police report against the escaped "victims", whom she claimed had robbed her recently.
Johor Baru Utara police chief Assistant Commissioner Ruslan Hassan said police were investigating the case and were looking into all possibilities. He advised the public not to take the law into their own hands but to assist the authorities.
In a separate incident, a corporate communications manager with the Port of Tanjung Pelepas was robbed by four masked men when his car broke down on the Second Link highway at 3.30am on Friday.
The four men assaulted Mohamed Derick Basir, 37, with rods and threatened him with a parang.
Derick was on his way home to Tampoi from Kuala Lum-pur, when his car broke down at Km14.7 at 3.30am.
"I called a friend for help and while waiting for him, I saw four men on two motorcycles riding towards me."
The four men, who hid their faces behind bandannas, hammered at his carÂ’s windows and windscreen.
Derick stepped out of his car and the robbers took his valuables, including his wallet, a watch, a Blackberry personal digital assistant, keys, personal organiser and documents.
Even after the victim surrendered his valuables, the robbers continued to assault him.
Derick escaped with minor injuries and was given outpatient treatment at the hospital.
