from 1st hand experience, i believe the problems come mainly from BMOriginally posted by Rock^Star:Did you examine your own attitude first? Did you (in your anxiety) come across as demanding and unreasonable?
It's your word......and only your word here.
Anyway, cars under warranty do not provide contingency cars, unless the AIG insurance you have bought covers this.
even if the customer is unreasonable or demanding, the Customer Service Officer/Advisor should not display any form of rudeness or displeasure to the customer, regardless of how difficult the customer may be. Its basic service etiquette.Originally posted by Rock^Star:Did you examine your own attitude first? Did you (in your anxiety) come across as demanding and unreasonable?

He asked where I want my car to be towed too? As I tot SIN MING was nearer, I said tow to there. ANd he said a charge of $60 will be required. But I told him my car was under warranty, den he say, it will be free.
On monday, I called sin ming to ask hows my car status now. They say need to bring to Leng Kee HQ to repair. Good, I asked do u all provide a car so that I can drive? I need a car to bring me around badly. But the sales person say NO. Cars under warranty, we do not provide cars. Cars without warranty, we provide. I mean... what the #@!$#@!? And the sales person, no they call advisor, is very very RUDE! Both at leng kee and sin ming.
I really regret buying cars from toyota knowing that their after sales services is so bad. And it been a week and still no news about my car. When I call Leng Kee just now(25/6/07) the RUDE Advisor says she dunnoe anything and need to call sin ming to check. When I called sin Ming and check, they asked me to call LEng kee!! OMG... I'm being pushed around!!
Can anyone advise me on what to do? esp those with similar problems.. thanx
Well, very sad to say, your friend got BBQed..., if your car is no longer under warranty, it means u can go to third party for repairs. By far Sin Ming is the most popular location. $4000++ for a bumper, headlights & labour is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. Minor repairs like knocking out dents, try avoiding going back to the dealership. They over-quote prices...Originally posted by passerbyJIA:consider youself lucky as they still honour the warranty of your car though you may not know how soon you can get it back. My friends Corolla, which was no longer under warranty, had a minor accident and Toyota charged him S$5250, later "discounted" to $4980, for replacing the rear bumper and a signal light plus labour. Japanese cars are cheap to maintain? Crap!
the car is realiable, but we are talking about the after sales service hereOriginally posted by iveco:I thought Toyota's reliability was legendary. Even better than Mitsubishi, according to some.
i tink for the money we paid, we shd get a certain level of basic service. its not about paying peanuts or not. u had to experience it to know it.Originally posted by Anti_AhSiah:U are driving a VIOS but u act like u are driving a Lexus. Courtesy car? Come on! When u pay peanuts u get monkeys. Just like Durai and Richard Yong.
So stop whining.
