    • I'm driving a vios and recently my car broke down. It broke down on sunday(17/6/07). So I called the tow company number that was on the sticker of my windscreen.
He asked where I want my car to be towed too? As I tot SIN MING was nearer, I said tow to there. ANd he said a charge of $60 will be required. But I told him my car was under warranty, den he say, it will be free.

On monday, I called sin ming to ask hows my car status now. They say need to bring to Leng Kee HQ to repair. Good, I asked do u all provide a car so that I can drive? I need a car to bring me around badly. But the sales person say NO. Cars under warranty, we do not provide cars. Cars without warranty, we provide. I mean... what the #@!$#@!? And the sales person, no they call advisor, is very very RUDE! Both at leng kee and sin ming.

I really regret buying cars from toyota knowing that their after sales services is so bad. And it been a week and still no news about my car. When I call Leng Kee just now(25/6/07) the RUDE Advisor says she dunnoe anything and need to call sin ming to check. When I called sin Ming and check, they asked me to call LEng kee!! OMG... I'm being pushed around!!

Can anyone advise me on what to do? esp those with similar problems.. thanx

    • is std that no courtesy car will be provided under warranty. most non luxury make are also like tat, and courtesy cars and... really courtesy. not a right.

however, is not acceptable for a toyota to be off road for such long time. and is kinda 1st time i heard of for non accident cases.

if they still say is sin ming prob then u ask them call for u from leng kee call sin ming and tell u wads happening.. they can't do it then call the manager in leng kee..

    • one thing i learn with BM, never ever give in. they tot u will give up and just sit and Lan lan wait for ur car.

dun even call them, go down to Leng kee and make hella noise. dun need give face or watsoever. in fact, it might even be a good idea to call up Toyota Asia Pacific instead of Borneo Motors.

let toyota know how bad BM is handling their products and chut all the pattern u can tink of.

    • Did you examine your own attitude first? Did you (in your anxiety) come across as demanding and unreasonable?

It's your word......and only your word here.

Anyway, cars under warranty do not provide contingency cars, unless the AIG insurance you have bought covers this.

even if the customer is unreasonable or demanding, the Customer Service Officer/Advisor should not display any form of rudeness or displeasure to the customer, regardless of how difficult the customer may be. Its basic service etiquette.

    • Well, maybe this is not for me to comment. I have had pleasant experiences with BM for the time I owned my Toyota.

    • consider youself lucky as they still honour the warranty of your car though you may not know how soon you can get it back Mad . My friends Corolla, which was no longer under warranty, had a minor accident and Toyota charged him S$5250, later "discounted" to $4980, for replacing the rear bumper and a signal light plus labour. Japanese cars are cheap to maintain? Crap!

Well, very sad to say, your friend got BBQed..., if your car is no longer under warranty, it means u can go to third party for repairs. By far Sin Ming is the most popular location. $4000++ for a bumper, headlights & labour is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. Minor repairs like knocking out dents, try avoiding going back to the dealership. They over-quote prices...

i tink for the money we paid, we shd get a certain level of basic service. its not about paying peanuts or not. u had to experience it to know it.

i had, and i have enough for BM after sales. actions were taken but seems BM yet to change.

    • If i knew that owing a vios would be treated in such a way, i would not have buy it.

Of course the car is important, but wats more important is the after sales here we are talking abt.

Well, if my attitude towards the advisor is rude or wrong, but SO?! I'm their customer for goodness sake. Singapore is promoting GEMS rite?! Whatever happen to their service attitude? Dun they know the anxity and angriness when the owner doesnt get his car back in 1 week?!

Its' totally crap... TOYOTA VIOS will be my 1st and last car from toyota. Never again will I buy toyota cars even tot they are good. 1 experience is enough to spoil everything.

So, the kind of after sales attitude u will get = the kind of car you drive?

Guys from TOYOTA, pls do smthing abt ur attitude before u lose more customers.
