Intro me a GPS system pls

  I'm planning to get a GPS system for my car but i know nothing about GPS. there are GPS that go for 800 and those that go for 1k+ can anyone tell me what's a good system that isn't too ex. And why the difference in price between systems are so big. Also i heard it's not recommended to use a handphone GPS system as its quite laggy. any comments ?

  Garmin seems quite a good and popular choice. Heard pretty good reviews on it so far.

  how about a PDA fone with GPRS if it suits ur need? its one of HP IPaq fones but i cant rmb which exact model.
  
  it was reviewed in Digital Life some time back and the IPaq GPRS software of Mapking 2007 was given the title of GPRS on smart fones. and the last time i know, the fone was going for SGD899. so basically u pay 899 for a smart fone n GPRS

  also read the new Nokia 6110 navigator or something... has an improved GPS system over the previous one found in the N95 or N73 cant remember.... at some phone outlets, a free car kit is included while stocks last

  First nokia phone in SG market was N95, 6110 come ready installed with Singapore Maps.
  
  First batch when launched comes with a free car kit(holder and charger).

  They have. You can buy the bundled package with SG and MY map at $200 more.
  You can also buy the unit itself without the map, then download the map at malsingmap.com

  N95 sucks btw..it expire every 2months..
  SE K810 has it too
