    • halo,

i would like to know if anyone of you know about the car insurance additional excess. I do not understand what is additional excess. It only applicable for those unnamed driver, like below 25 years old, the additional excess is $3000.

What does the $3000 mean? Can anyone tell me?

If the car insured is my name but when an accident happen and the driver is not me. The accident is the driver who drove my car fault, and the other party want to claim my insurance, can we still claim under my car insurace when the driver is not me?

      Thanks in advance?

    • hi!

the excess is a guideline for all motor insurance. Required if you're under min required age...so if you're putting under someone of elder age ie your dad, your name is still required to be registered as 2nd driver. Do take note that insurance will be based on the younger one of the 2 drivers.

      Hope this helps!
