Woh, I got totally different feeling on the two cars, maybe in some small parts they are similar, but overall, they are showing different design.

I'm not a fan of china mades, but glad that u are driving well with it.
It probably shows that its usually the drivers and not the cars.

unsafe driver, not-so-safe car = cannot
Hope it is still doing well for u and i suppose in years to come, hafei, chery, geely may really give the JDM and conti a fight... not soon, but in years to come and when they get original/creative enough. -

but not bad for them to copy cos if they do themselves, sure become aluminium foil de.. sorry TS.. but i have lil respect for chinese carmakers for their poor body structuring.
it takes a good and sturdy driver like u who is lucky and cautious and careful to drive them without accidents and safely.. but its not for the general public of drivers. -

Anyway, so many ppl say that china is copying car design wholesale. And it's because china is sucha big market that so far no biz is willing to sacrifice sales for their IP, yet. I believe there are a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, and I think it's only a matter of time before someone smacks china in the ass.

Btw, it's not about looking down on chinese car makers per se. What I feel most people are against, is that they are not respecting others by just stealing another company's design, modify it a little, and calling it their own. Without due consideration for anything else other than making money.

i ain't fan of any car makers. i think one of the forumer mentioned to the effect that the Coolbear model looks like Toyota Bb and another post suggests it looks like Daihatsu Materia (sorry if i spelt it wrongly). This lead me to think that they look quite similar. then my next question is prior to Coolbear model, which jap maker copeid each other design? Not sure if anyone here is aware that Japanese was once perceived as an "Imitator" before they make a name for themselves?
i believe the criticism reflects what the chinese makers are now. i hope they will improve overtime and faster just like those who once started off like them!

To clear it up, Materia and bB are the exact same car chassis with cosmetics different and badged differently as Daihatsu and Toyota respectively.
Toyota owns 51% of stakes in Daihatsu and Daihatsu and Toyota are essentially the same company in Japan.

I thinkk in the future China will be rich enough to buy a few Japanese car makers or own most of the shares...
