  pple who own lambo do not only relay on salary to pay for the car, they do investment, collect rents to pay for them.
  some dont even need to employ a single amount of their salary on the car, its self paid...if u know wat i mean

  COE isn't that much, i would think its the tax our govt is imposing in importing the car, correct me if i'm wrong.
  
  The OMV if the cars are far less than what you pay on them, even if you factor in the depreciation, i can't still figure out where the 'lost' money went.
  
  Hence i think it's tax, to reduce the amount of (discourage) such cars on our roads.

  But these cars are typically smaller than the average luxury cars like BMWs and Mercedes.
  
  So I don't think the high price is to limit the no. of cars on our roads.

  looking at the increasing number of ERP gantries, timings and prices, factoring in the stiffer traffic penalties, it is quite obvious by now that drivers are a viable source of income.
  
  besides, a driver is much more likely to stop by the side of the road when pulled over and suck thumb than a thief/robber running on foot from the police.
  
  and looking at the financing costs of exotic cars, usually such people own rental properties and collect rent to offset the cost of their standards of living. alternatively, buying it under the company and claiming petrol and all from the company's pretax income is also another way to go.
