Air Filter

Thinking of changing my stock to open port ( is it called open port ) air filter... wondering which brand is more resonable in price n more reliable? my friend recommend me APEX or Simota, but think APEX much cheaper. Btw wat effect it give after changing?

IMHO open pod w/o proper heat shileding...is just a waste of time as yr engine will suck in all the hot air....and try not to get those type which is oiled or has to be reoiled as that will damage yr air flow meter in the long run

usually auto cars r recommend to use drop-in filter

get a proper one with heat shielding lo....best of course if it was designed for that make/model

OEM parts are usually better for normal usage. Changing to an open POD may means having to maintance the filter more often by cleaning. And buying of the new filter will be more expensive.

Another idea you may wanna consider is drilling some extra vent holes around the factory filter housing.

does drilling extra hole help? actually i can just take out one of the pipe easily which more air can be take in, but very noisy n seems like consume abit more fuel.
