The Sonata cab is actually really very refined..I was surprised! The CRDi diesel engine is actually as quiet and as refined as a Merc E220 CDi's engine..road and wind noise very minimal too..
And the ride..it's a big surprise too..It's surprising how well-resolved the ride actually was..it has a very well-controlled ride that feels like how a European car rides..not as supple as the Merc E220 CDi definitely, but it's not far behind too..I'm really surprised by the European-level of suspension control..
Overall, the Hyundai Sonata 2.0 CRDi is really a very very pleasant surprise..can match the E220 CDi anytime..but the cabin ambience can never match..

ic. i only take a cab when i'm in a rush. other than that, i always make sure i'm early to make my way by bus/train. hopefully, the next time i'm late, i'll hail a sonata or a magentis!

It's torque is NECK WRENCHING..
But one thing though, it's VW pumpe duse engine is sooooo lacking in refinement when compared to more modern diesel engines in the E220 CDi and the Sonata 2.0 CRDi..The 2.5-litre V6 in the Skode Superb is so noisy!
But VW's pumpe duse diesel engines well known for being so noisy and unrefined because it's relatively old tech when compared to newer diesel engines in the market currently..hopefully VW updates their whole range of diesel engines soon..
