why you all keep comparing picanto and kelissa?
I tested picanto maunal and auto.. completely powerless... very slow pick up and noisy engine.. although its back looks cute.... being better than picanto doesn't mean much... picanto is not built for high pick up...
and for kelissa, think about its size and crash impact before you speed...
those who drive kelissa, i bet you have not owned a bigger car... not hao lian here but it is very difficult to adapt to small size car after driving medium size car... either i maintain driving same size and power or i give up driving and save money -
i did own a latio. is tat counted as bigger? but the petrol can kill ppl. y i brought a kelisa is because i don need such a big car for my use onli. yup i agree bigger car are more comfortable. but i did say tat there is pros and cons. the pros of a bigger car is comfortable. power is there. but the cons are it drink petrol lik water. if u brought a hybrid so as to save petrol the cost is more than enough to actually let u use a whole 5 years of petrol. for my use onli, and for family of 4, y do i need such a big car for? i need a car from end to end. and even i own a bigger car lik a 1.6litre, it cant even hav the power to fight a kelisa. not sayin about top speed. i sayin abt pickup. so wat the use of being big? if u buy a 2litre car, think about the price 1st. mayb u are rich to own a 2 litre car, but think abt it, do u need it? and don forget above 1.6cc is a heavy petrol drinker. unless u hav a family of 6 or u reali need to squeeze alot ppl, buy a family car then. tats is because u need it. u don buy car to show off. u buy a car to ease ur movement from 1 town to the other. and ya abt safety, do u think a bigger car is reali safe? most of the crash test is onli tested on the front. not the back. and 1 of the example u might crushed to death is vios. and latio if u do rmb some times back, a lorry collide with a latio and the back of it gone. i mean the whole back seat GONE. so wat is real safety? ur car is not built lik a tank ok? u spend so much money but end up also die wat for? so think abt it. is onli whether u need it or not. simple. if u need a car, think abt the FC, think abt y u need it, think abt how much space u need, the cost of the car and most impt is the engine( trusted 1 is beta so tat u wont end up spend a load of money to repair). not onli because its BIG thus equal to safe. i don think tat a reason to buy a bigger car or don buy.

FC for picanto is 11-12km/l auto sometimes 15km/l.
manual is 15-17km/l.
I wouldnt say kelisa is the tough built when compared amongst the two. else why would the picanto be slower than kelisa? side impact beams made it heavier.
anyway go so fast for what? 1st to reach next traffic light also fun?
btw, TS the swift is also not bad. quite spacious...
ultimately, your choice. go for a test drive, compare pros and cons... -

U cannot compare cars lah. It's all up to the person who buys the car. U have to test drive it. Some want speed, some want space, some want slient car, some wants econmic. For me, I own a Picanto and it's good enough for me. I only need to car to bring me from point A to point B. No need speed, everywhere u go also jam, u speed pass a red light, but there's always a second traffic light waiting for u. Nosiy engine, every car also got noise wah. Too nosiy, do sound proof liao.
