of course you will damage yr engine..if not every car on the road all rev at traffic light alr right. revving yr engine once in a while is ok la, but dont do it too often as the engine and drivetrain will get affected.

ya muz rev sometimes. but not at stationary. rev when u moves. but not over reving it. everyday rev to 3 or 4 is alright. wont make ur car spoilt but infact beta. will use alot of fuel at 1st but end up the best FC among ur model. believe me. because i drove lik tat. tat wat i learn from "old bird". but long long rev till 6. it is good for ur engine for long term. so when ur engine get "old" it can still withstand the reving. don be lik 1 of my fren dad. driving a old merc nv rev before. when my fren drive, rev till 6 once.. the engine broke down

Well there are tales that high-revving every now & then helps clear the carbon deposits in the engine, I don't know how true.
Ever since my dad's car was driven at almost 4k rpm throughout on NS highway, I can feel it's now smoother and more powerful to drive. Hopefully it's not just placebo effect haha. -

What I mean is as long as the engine is left to run constantly at a similar RPM, regardless of whether it's 2k, 3k, or 4k, it will help clear the carbon deposit in it..it's kinda true..but it has to be kept constant and long enough..a drive up North will be long enough.. -
Ya i guess you've got a point there. I'm getting increasingly convinced by this tale. Feels like engine is more responsive to rev, and somehow the gearbox seems to be smarter and less retarded.
And not just for the benefit of the car, the NS highway drive is what a chance of a lifetime experience for me. -
