  i will not get a wira as the design has been around for more than 10 years. and when you drive one, people will think that you change to a new car plate number

  this is my concern for getting a car (either used or new)
  
  1) budget constraint ( no more than 40k)
  2) just from pt to pt only. ( wrk requirement)
  3) dun break down often
  4) design and brand no impt
  5) spare parts easy to get n service
  6) living n wrking in SG, dun wanna spent too much cash on car as not worth it in SG ( can enjoy better cars elsewhere with the amt paid in SG)
  7) need to have boots to store items.
  
  if got more $$$ later, can go for a bettter car. but now need to be realistic.
  so looking and asking around for comment on whether is proton wira a good buy?

  btw,
  drive friend nissan sunny b4, ok but heavy fuel consumption. (auto) , honda civic 1.6, good response car but the price on the exp side for me ( Manual), toyota corolla, ok but high fuel consumption.( Auto)
  
  never drive a proton wira b4, so hope ppl can advise me on this.

  Get a 2nd hand japanese brand or something. Maybe Mitusbishi Lancer. From what i know, M'sia cars are not very good in almost every aspect (besides price of course).
  
  They definately do not have good build quality, parts may fall off anytime. And it's not spacious either.

  Get the older ones before the fuel injection models appeared. That's when they started cutting cost on parts (and everything else). Not saying that the older ones are much better... they just give you less problems then the newer ones

  My advice for saloon budget car... Lancer 1.6M, Kia Rio, Wira in that order... Cheap. And eveb cheaper if you buy 2-3 years car from buyers dire ctly...

  if you really on a low budget constraint, i would suggest the wira. no doubt it rather old, but parts are easy to get since its a plug and play car. any mods also can.
  
  anyway you dont mind abt the looks its ok la... my 1st car was a wira too. power seems ok, FC abt 12-13km/l for auto. manual should be around 15+km/l depending on your right foot and oh, its roomy too...
  
  Pros: decent FC, spacious boot space(can put 3 medium sized bodies inside), simple instruments, cheap.
  
  Cons: rather ageing, old tech, body quite soft(expect to see small dents)
  
  from pt a to b car for transporting goods or passengers, its a good choice.

  Hope that the car dun have lobang on roof if not during raining sure kanna wet.

  Won't go wrong with the wira considering your needs of owning a car. Its the best bang for buck when you're looking for a mid size sedan under 40K.
