toyota became or is poised to be the world largets car maker not soley because of its valve technology... they also depend on reliability... value for money and their target consumers...Originally posted by Mitsubishi hater:Will Toyota be the known world largest car maker in 2007?
It bet it will by 92%.
Any car maker can match their 'valvematic' technology?
Hardly i think. Pls enlighten any1.
Variable Valve Timing. the i stands for intelligent. dunno technical difference but VVTi is improved version.Originally posted by T.Ryousuke:VVT vs VVTi, wat's the diff?
Think the i means alot diff in term of FC , New Civic engine r i-Vtec.Originally posted by sir_peanuts:Variable Valve Timing. the i stands for intelligent. dunno technical difference but VVTi is improved version.
Hi nitrogen oxide (NOX),Originally posted by n0x:toyota became or is poised to be the world largets car maker not soley because of its valve technology... they also depend on reliability... value for money and their target consumers...
agreed
do u even know how vvt-i works in the first place when u say hardly any carmaker can match their technology...
yes i know
heard of vanos???
yes, heard of dual Vanos??
and we are talking about "valvematic" my disputer
meaning continuous timing and lift variation on both intake and exhaust valve.
this is 1 notch above the Dual VVTi liao understand?
in fact a lof of car marques use CONTINUOUS variable valve timing in their engines... juz that they do not make that as their selling point...
agreed, but how effective is another question
expensive hobby thoughOriginally posted by silver fish:i think soon china cars will overtake... they gettin more and more cheaper. thus more and more ppl will buy. 1 influence 1 another. mayb rich ppl buy for fun. can su ka su ka rev till red line and blow the engine. cheap wat.buy liao throw. rev till song song 800cc can even beat 2 litre pickup u also donnoe. they rev till 8

yes i have heard of dual vanos...
and since u are talking abt toyota's valvematic... heard of AVTEC???
heard of bmw's valvetronic??
agreed, but how effective is another question
so u saying bmw's system is not effective??? i dun see them pasting vanos all over their car bodies??? but their engines are world renowed...

BMW have Long done that before toyota...and it works exactly the same...Originally posted by Mitsubishi hater:Will Toyota be the known world largest car maker in 2007?

dude...VANOS is Cam phasing...valvetronic is variable valve Lift....VANOS dosent alter the valve lift...it just advances or retards the valve opening durations...the new BMW engines combine VANOS with valvetronic....Originally posted by n0x:heard of vanos???
at first glnace i thought he was referring to vvt-i mah.....Originally posted by AE86tofu:dude...VANOS is Cam phasing...valvetronic is variable valve Lift....VANOS dosent alter the valve lift...it just advances or retards the valve opening durations...the new BMW engines combine VANOS with valvetronic....but there is NO variable valve lift on the exhaust cam...this goes the same for toyota so in a way toyota "copied" BMW's system

VVT-T will never be as good as VTEC and VANOS in terms or performance....Originally posted by gamersworldsg:vvtl-i kick a$$
