  May i ask why do you hate mitsubishi?Is it u can never catch up with a mitsubishi everytime you try to race with a mitsubishi with your toyota?frankly speaking i am alsodriving a toyota altis but i still like to see those sporty lancer out on the road.and i was always wondering how come a 1.5 capacity car with just a SOHC can drive so much faster than my 1.6 capacity twin cam toyota?

  Lancer manual is faster but auto still lose to yr tomyam, some ppl mod their car which u can't c. Even a manual Vios can beat u , dun compare a manual and a auto.
  
  Altis is still powerful compare to other auto car.

  8 gen FL lancer rear lamp (view from an angle) is sexy though.
  
  Altis can beat the lancer auto any fu.cking time. why i know.
  
  my fren own a auto lancer, that is why.
  
  order is term of fastest acc:
  
  Altis
  auto sunny
  auto lancer (CVT ma).
  
  also, lancer should be 1.6L, altis is VVTi engine not Twin Cam.

  firstly... altis is vvt-i engine AND twin cam at the same time.. do u even know what twin cam means...
  
  secondly.. why is it ur friend ur friend.. ur friend chui kong lam par song u also listen to them.... u personally dun own a mit lancer why u kbkb so much.... at the end of the day its ur friend's experience.. not urs...
  
  thirdly... why cvt will affect acc.... do u even know how cvt works...

  Talking about CVT, have tried new EX 1.6 and 2L auto, the 2L is on CVT and the pick up is slow while 1.6 is better.

  CVT starting gear ratio is lower. thus slower pick up.

  (CVT) is a transmission which can change steplessly through an infinite number of effective gear ratios...
  
  so why would a manufacturer choose a gear ratio that is low ????

  the new lancer is 1.5, not 1.6.
  
  And FYI, the lancer 1.5 is running on INVECS 2 - 4 speed auto, while the new 2.0 Sports is running on INVECS 3 with sports mode. The 1.5L only has 143nm torque, so you trying to say the 2.0 199nm of torque is slower with INVECS 3 than a 1.5 143nm of torque with a 4-speed auto?

  frankly speaking i am just a layman.so no comment on all those technical terms above.but to me as i am driving a altis and honestly i don't find its so powerful as wat some of you had mention.to me i only think its suppose to be a economic saloon.but if we talking about a twin cam(so call DOHC) toyota,with the present power i would say its not a powerful car.its the feel cos i can feel my altis is very light in weight.i think the mitsubishi has a slightly heavier body weight and furthermore its just a SOHC.so wat if the lancer was a DOHC?then i think my car(altis)really no fight.but i heard there are lancer in singapore that is DOHC.but rare in singapore.

  maybe you should try a auto 8 gen FL lancer to guage the performance first hand.
