don release ur clutch too fast .. as in half clutch n maintain there .. till the car is stable liao den release fully .. this is a must for ur tp .... takes alot of practice to perfect it though.. don worry practice more n it will be perfect .... it has also nothing to do with ur seating position ..... if u think is ur seating position .. den i think is ur seat not adjusted propely before u drive ...Originally posted by Prophecy_Master:when u stop on a slope a rather steep one, i am told to use the handbrake for moving off.
so far i know 2 styles of moving off from slope.
First.
step on the accelerator, release the clutch till u hear the noise generated by the engine is greatly reduce, release the handbrake and the car should move off.
Second.
release the clutch till the bitting point, step on the accelerator, release the handbrake.
i am having promblem with the second method, and the second method is what my instructor die die want me to use wen moving off .....
is either i let go too much of the cltuch the car stalled, or i didn't give it enough oil...... some times it is hard to tell is my cltch at the bitting point cause the car is constanly vibrating.
and some how when i let of of my hand brake so is my accelerator, which again the car stalled, i wonder what is wrong, my seating position ? or i am just noob ?
slope is terrible......Originally posted by Pitot:Try this,
with handbrake on, step accelerator until rpm hits 2.
release clutch until rpm goes back to 1, step on accelerator until it goes up to 2.
release handbrake and it will move off.
i tend to roll back a little too as i dun really use handbrake unless the slope is pretty steep...Originally posted by joyanz:slope is terrible......i used the this method when i was a L plate.. i tink it is easier too..
but when u are constantly on slopes, u wun wan to use the handbreak method so often. troublesome lei... keep pulling and releasing handbreak. nw my dad teaching me not to use the handbreak. but i still will roll back alittlesorry to those cars who happen to be behind me.. gave u all a fright huh.
