Toyota Wish

can anyone tell me more about toyota wish? how much is it? how many CC? is the engine good? how many seater? will the oil consumption like hyundai car where the oil will run out very fast? and overall is it a nice car?

Toyota Wish is currently only available from parallel importers. I think it cost around 80k (not sure). It's 1.8 litre with 7 seats. So it's a MPV. FC wise should be quite good for a 1.8 though i am not sure of the exact figures. Its quite spacious except for the last row. If you ask me if it's a nice car, i say yes.
But before you rush to the showrooms. Let me warn you, Toyota Wish are getting more common among taxis. So if you don't want a car that is the same model of taxis, i suggest getting another non taxi model like picnic or something. Honda Stream is also a taxi model if you don't know.
But if you don't mind having the same car as the taxi, then by all means, go buy it. It's a good car. -

Depends how many years loan you take, I think if u take 10 yr loan. You will be paying abt $700 - $850 per mnth instalment. Roadtax I'm not sure. But i know that Cat A pays $600 for half a year? Or issit 1 year.

. I don't work as a salesman. So i don't know the the exact details about the pricing. But what i know is that downpayment can vary depending on which showroom you go to. I suggest you go do some research on the net. You can start off with richburg motors which i think is one of the more reputable parrarel importers in S'pore.
Alternatively, you may visit the showroom itself as you will find all the details you want there. Unless we have a real car salesman that sells Toyota Wish in this forums. We will never know the exact price as it varys among different importers and the current COE price. -

my dad just got that car.
i think comparing the wish and the stream. the wish is more comfortable.
its very roomy inside, the honda stream is a little squeezy, and i get a backache sitting in the backseat.
the wish can squeeze maybe 4 ppl in the centre portion. the honda stream only can have 3, cuz of the width size difference.
but the honda stream the engine better la, when u drive, got the feeling. -

Is there a 2l version?
I sat in my friend's Wish(should be 2l version) and was suprised to know it was very sprintly...however,being a mini MPV u cannot expect to fit 7 people comfortable.6 is comfortable and 7 is a bit squeeze.
You need to pack in more than 7 kids/adults - go for mainstreem MPV such as Oddysey,Grandis,Picnic etc.Can take up to 8 comfortable and 9 person a bit squeeze. -

Yes, Wish is more of a family car than anything else. It's definately not a sports car, duh! Ya, Borneo Motors will be importing the Wish soon (after what? 4 years)
I have a feeling though, pararell import will still be cheaper than Borneo Motors. -

just a question for u, are you buying or ur family members getting, if its you who is getting, wad's your age, if your age is below 23 or 25 i not very sure, the insurance would be higher than those above the age mentioned, y not get a 2nd hand first instead of getting a first hand, it would be lighter on the pocket so you would have excess for other things like maintainence, petrol, road tax, insurance and all.

cant remember.Another neighbour brought at 58k recently with coe more than 16K but is a weekend car.So car price is depend on coe.
Wish petrol consumption easily 12-13km/litre.
Wish length is 4550mm & width 1695mm.
Stream length is 4570mm & width 1695mm.
So to me both is equally spacious at least in the width(shoulder room).
Road tax for 1.8cc is $1150/yr.

Haven't read all the replies, so there might be some repetition.
My dad changed from a 2.0L Hyundai Trajet (guzzler, that one
) to his current almost-two-year-old Wish.
Basically the Wish is using the same 1.8L (1794cc specifically) 1ZZ-FE powerplant in the Borneo Altis 1.8. Power is around 130BHP, and it's quite sufficient for everyday driving.
It's good on the NSHW too, as we've been to KL and Camerons in it for about 5 times already
. Revs all the way up if you want to. 
Managed to hit a max of 175km/h (limiter set at 180), but held on for only abt 5secs. Still quite stable, surprisingly, with no suspension mods.
It's technically a 7-seater, but we fold down the 3rd row so my dad can chuck his rubbish there.
FC is about 11km/l or so, dad doesn't properly take note. Toyota claims a 14.4km/l economy rate but not any achieve that mark.
We stay in Bedok, he works in Queenstown, drives to work everyday Mon-Sat. Full tank (60L) can last about a week 
, compared to the Trajet which needed a topup every 3 days...
He got the car at about $67,888 during the 10k COE period.
Mods wise, it is quite a good car if you're into all those.
Overall, it's a good enough car for us, and quick enough for some fun moments.
If your budget is bigger tho, would suggest the MarkX ZiO...

I would just say, if u can comfortably set aside 1.2k - 1.5k a month for the car, you should be able to buy it, no probs. It also depends on how much u downpay, and the loan period u take. Thus far max loan period u can take is 10 years, or the length of the COE.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but judging from the questions you are asking, I don't think your financially ready to own a car yet. -
