Hello guys. I saw quite a number of Mitsubishi EX cars on teh road and i find it quite a pretty car. Whats your views about it?
Anyway , can the engine support the addition of turbocharger? The Mitsubishi Evo X is way too ex. So i guess maybe buy a Mit EX then install a turbo in the future. Is it okay like that?
not bad leh. My mum just bought it. ![]()

Car pooling .
I have a alot of relatives. So sometimes when meeting together, transport is a big issue. So we usually cram many people inside a car. But nvm lah, i now 18 nia , still cnt talk about buying car. I just asking for opinions. My cousin who is about 23 drives a WRX and he always chiongs his car. Sit on it also scared. ![]()

Yeah i know. You have to consider engine's camshaft (i think) as well as the compression ratio. If compression ratio is very high , like in the case of the Suzuki Swift, turbocharging just won't work.
Anyway , im just doing a little research on this car. Thats all. I not talking about "hey i want to buy this car". Doing a little research can help me in the future when i buy cars.

lol? high compression cannot turbocharge? what about those civics running on LPTs? ya.. some of them have lowered their compression ratios.. but majority out there are all running on high compressions + turbo.
alot of new suzuki swift sports are also turbocharged.. trust me, they work really well..
in future, u will not look at the mitsu lancer ex already.. by the time u can own one.. alot of other cars for u to chose..
the lancer ex 2.0 is under powered.. but still, i think its slightly more powerful than my mazda6.. in terms of handling and high FC, i feel my car wins hands down... the mitsu has pretty good consumption of 11km/l whereas mine's 9.2km/l
it looks ok......how much is it?

Lol i dunno leh. Hear from people one. ![]()
High compression ratio can still turbo , diesel engine is one example. But must see if the engine can take the stress anot loh.
Btw , did you say Suzuki Swift Sport with turbo?? I like that car. Compact and nippy. Some really got turbo on??

Well said...

I see One.Motoring website it says that if LTA approves your car to have turbo installed, its fine with it leh. Hmm or did i misinterpret it?
yea, technically IF LTA approvesm u can do any damn thing you want to your car.... just that they wont
LTA has previously approved superchargers for the Lexus IS200/Toyota Altezza. So it's not impossible.
My dad test drove the 2.0 Sports edition today(wanted GT,but cannot),at2k rpm i can hear the exhaust growl already..![]()
Plus,the paddle shifters are fun![]()
Anyway,i heard in 2009 there's going to be a turbocharged variant of the Lancer EX.Called the Lancer EX Ralliart(unless the 7th gen lancer has been phased out by then),it will have the detuned and modified 4B11T engine found on the Evo and meant to compete with the base Subaru Impreza WRX
The Lancer Ralliart will also return for 2009. It is slated in between the Lancer GTS* and the high performance Lancer Evolution model. Announced in January 2008, it will compete directly with the Subaru Impreza WRX. Using the 2.0 L turbocharged 4B11 I4 engine from the upcoming Evo X paired with diffrent cams and a slightly slower turbo, producing 235 hp (175 kW) and 253 ft·lbf (343 N·m) of torque, while using the all wheel drive system of the Evolution IX. The car will initially be offered only with Mitsubishi's new TC-SST dual-clutch transmission.
*note - GTS = GT in Singapore
I guess the price will be around 90-110k,since the Evo retails for 130k+
