mass production cannot produce super inefficient car because of huge tolerance for manufactureability.
lmost 99% of cars in the market are produced in mass.
so 99% of cars are not operating at its optimum.
his means there are still room for improvement.
so, achieving additional power gain and fuel saving on existing car still possible.

so far... i think lightening the car is the best way to gain power and achieve better fuel consumption..
however, i think weight is not cheap
light weight forged rims.. $3k-$4k
carbon fibre hood, roof, boot, fenders = $6k-$10k.
adding a Low Pressure Turbo (LPT) with a programmable ECU to tune the AF ratio, boost blah blah.
spark plugs, ignition cables, fuel hose, air intake.. for better combustion.
all these mods will give ur car quite alot of additional power.. but we human abuse it and pedal to the metal driving occurs.. thus never save fuel.. haha..
