Got like that one meh... My friend accident twice, then AIG send letter to terminate
We regret to inform you that your insurer, AIG, has declunded renewal for the above vehicle due to claim dated **** and **** amounting to approximately $25,973.90
Please seek for alternative insurance and any inconvenience caused is very much regretted.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your past support.
Got like that one meh... Firstly, it's not like my friend will want the accidents. Secondly, the major portion of the blame for both accidents were due to others (even the insurance agreed).
they should increase the insurance price of your friend... and their vec no... meaning, charge him at a higher rate.. not terminating it..
they increased le... Then now terminate... today received letter that they terminating by 10th Jul 2008
maybe they scared to insure him liao

like that then they shouldn't even do insurance business
And the way they handled the 2 accidents were actually extremely unprofessional. In a way, this termination was still ok because my friend was already thinking of terminating them and switching to NTUC because of the unsatisfactory experience with AIG handling the previous incidents.
what car your friend driving?
thats really extreme.

no lei, i think aig better.
tio cancer liao also nobody wants to insure u de
same what
they see this person track record so bad, or so suay everytime langa
so they dun wan to insure oredi lor
if u are an insurer u also will be like that what
ya lor. Think AIG very good already lor, at least for ur side ur friend claimed $26K for the accidents before they terminate the plan. Some companies will do their absolute best to wriggle out of even paying in the first place. Between ntuc and aig, aig very much better
Paying is one thing. The extremely unprofessional way they handled the incidents is another thing.
And the track record was, 1st accident, the other driver (container truck driver) didn't make a report, and disappeared. This driver changed lane, and the rear wheel of the truck smashed into the car. Case was closed suddenly before any decision was sent out. And the truck driver's insurance company actually contacted my friend directly without going through AIG, no idea why. They even had a professional write out what happened and everything, whereas my friend has to settle everything; AIG did not appear to have done anything at all.
The 2nd accident, a letter was sent that the other party had 80% fault (he shot out from minor lane suddenly without checking). Just that this 2nd incident, the other party's insurance is also AIG. Case was closed before a satisfactory conclusion was reached.

Like that also dont appear to be your totally friend's fault both times. It's really quite unfair to terminate halfway also, at most during insurance renewal that time, dont renew then terminate. But halfway termination is really quite unprofessional.
Singapore not only got ntuc and aig, got a lot of other insurance companies, look around for the best price and best coverage. Not say big insurance company = neccesarily better.
Your friend is a very bad driver. From the sounds of it, he don't know how to drive defensively or refuse to give way all the time right? How can a big container lorry change lane and knock into his car? He must have accelerated and refuse to give way that's why bang his car! He deserves it man.

looks like aig also like to close cases asap.
ntuc also like that. but we kept pressing them for explaination, this and that. then they LL have to account properly.

Hmmm... then my mistake for using the word "terminate"... The letter, as typed in my first post, mentioned declined renewal...
i think when driving its best to adopt a defensive driving attitude and try and put aside your ego. no point to try and squeeze with the buses or lorries to get ahead even though you may have the right of the way cos end of the day if accident your heart will break when you see the damage of your car and their lorry or bus.
