I saw below note from the neo tec website. Can anyone who have heart disease use this product? Thinking of buying 1 for my parent....
Caution: The Neo Tec XJ-600 complies with U.S. safety standards for low ozone emission (less than 0.05 ppm). It is recommended that individuals with a history of respiratory disease consult with your doctor about very low ozone before using this product.

Just visited Jerry to buy another XJ2000. I feel that after many months of use, the machines seem to be working quietly with very little maintenance.
Also read an article lately that says that indoor air is 5 times more polluted than outdoor air - anyone can find me that same article ? Need it to make a proposal ? -

, so identify the purpose and you can come up with the right unit , so far all the units (5 for myself and 20 + as gifts) are working fine. As long as you do the monthly cleaning, you should have no problems. If you have any problems, Jerry gives a 1 year warranty where he gives you a 1 to 1 exchange.

is there any air ionizer that does not emit ozone?
I do not like the thought of ozone as I use it in an air-con environment. i'm concern the ozone will build up causing it to exceed the max. permissible limit of 0.05ppm which is stated by the S'pore National Environment Agency.

In fact, in the article you quoted 0-50 levels of ozone is considered good and no precautions need to be taken. If you take 50 ppm, the ozone emission for the neotec products are 1000 times lower than the upper level of a GOOD rating.

I'm not tech. inclined, but i understand that split unit a/c circulate air within the room, so the x'change of air is not possible, unlike those central a/c systems used in shopping malls.

Happened to browse thru' this forum and hope I can be of some help. Me recently got one air ionizer from katong area (Roxy Square) and this one does not emitt ozone at all! It is more expensive than the Nectec ones but it claimed to be of patented technology, it also have test certs to prove that it does not emit Ozone (i.e 0 ppm). It comes with an in-built fan and does not require any filter cleaning. So far it works fine (3 to 4 months already) and it seems to be very effective for my kid who used to cough a lot in the night. For info., I used it in an air con room and I totally agree that due to the internal circulation of split air con units used in most residential flats like mine, I would not want to risk the ozone build up.

do you know the address and the costs .... i'm not so familiar with Roxy Square, any landmark nearby. Been to East Coast Mac and once was at Katong Shopping centre, tat was a long time ago, dun know if it is still around. -
Looked for Roxy square & think I found the shop, it is at the new roxy square II & its located next to Cenosis. Not sure if it si the same place as what halokitty mentioned. I bought a few air ionizers. The air ionizers are very portable and best of all, it is ozone free. It is also free from NOx. Details can be found in their website: www.pura.com.sg
So far so good & I'm more than happy i found this air ionizer.
