    • Halo forumers! I had came across this forum by chance and thought there are alot of great investors here. I'm still learning and have a couple of questions.

      From the SGX website:

      a) STI 3100DBePW080801, price 0.49,

      b) STI 3000SGAePW080730, price 0.255.

      I know STI refers to Singapore Straits Times Index. What does DBePW or GAePW means?

      So if I buy say 100 lots of (a) I will invest $25,500. So I must sell within 01 Aug 2008? But at what price? How do I see the profits I make?

      Thanks in advance.

    • You look at the price its at when you sell, minus what you purchase at. that's your profit. i think

    • ==> Agenda.

      Thanks for your reply. However I do not think it works this way. I think we have to look the whether the STI clears the 3000 or 3100 mark by the expiry date.

      Anyone care to explain on this?

    • ===> Evangel.

      Thanks. Saw some of the discussion here about investments, unit trusts, stocks, etc both in this forums and in Speakers Corner, etc. That's why thought they are quite proficient.
