The two main portable toilet operators in Singapore are Porta Pumper (run by all female team) as well as K&W...

For the plastic type, there's a holding tank at the bottom of the toilet seat whereby it holds all the waste & to control the odour, a superior deodoriser with odour control enzymes from USA. Foot operated flushing system as well as taps to ensure that your hand remains clean...the contractors will come with the sludge tanker to pump out all the waste once in a while...these will be used at construction sites, grander functions, showflats, etc

For the stainless steel types, the waste directly goes to the sewer & if you're sharp, you'll notice the inspection cover are nearby somewhere around the toilet, water is tapped from the mains which are used for the flushing as well as the sink, lights & ventilation slots are available all around the toilets. These toilets are like "legos", you'll need to fix them piece by piece & if I'm not wrong, there's a total of 4 pieces mainly the lower part, upper part, roof & door...nowdays, if you notice, they will be chained to some permanent fixtures such as void deck waste pipes to prevent them from being stolen...these will be used at void deck functions & pasar malams...

the last time i used them is during CNY this year.. the river hongbao thinggie

then there isnt any light in the cubicle, so i aga aga used it
the tap water not workable too, and no toilet paper

and if i could still rem, i used damn fast.. in less than a minute im done
because smelly ma

during void deck events i rather the metal one. at least can link to a water source and you have free running water.

the plastic one, the blue substance. eww. but it does smell good if u pump more.
