I've also encountered a pick up whcih was converted into a
caravan in Thailand, somewhere at Changrai.

As my family has homes in Phuket and upt to Changrai, my father
has the intention to get one such pick up converts for travelling
in the future. It would undboubtledly be more comfortable
travelling with him in such a caravan eventually. The problem
being, that most asian carparks cannot allow that taller caravan
into their carparks.

I was posting earlier that my sister has a smaller caravan type
in USA.

It function as a secondary home, especially when they are
travelling. And its good with the children. Both
toddlers.

The family travels often, from Sandiego, to Vegas. And it
really helps because children gets to take naps at the back, and
there is table for dining as well as a break or a picnic
anytime. The portable toliet is useful for the kidsalso
useful when you dont trust the public toliets.

But all in all, its a great holiday vehicleand your only
difficulty is getting used to the size, cramped as it is and to get
electricity and fresh water to charge the vehilce everytime you get
to a caravan camping spot.

Interesting.... But wouldnt it cost alot on the upkeep? For eg,
clearing of toilet, maintenance of cab.... But its way cheaper than
a landed house... Not too convenience if u live near city I would
say...

Nonetheless it will be interesting to hear from ppl who lived in
those b4...
